Sephora cashier scratched off gift card number

My daughter was gifted a $100 gift card and when the cashier tried to swipe the card it wasn’t reading it so then she scratched the numbers off but apparently scratched so hard some of the numbers completely came off and are unreadable. She told me all I could do was reach out to customer service which we did and the lady from CS told me there was nothing they could do. I feel so angry because obviously $100 isn’t easy to earn..and the fact they were so unhelpful is so upsetting. I have the receipt of the gift card being purchased but it does not show the numbers needed to redeem the card. PLEASE don’t buy Sephora gift card and if u do and the cashier is having trouble please ask for your card back so u can carefully scratch the numbers because they are really just careless.

Yes I have those numbers it looks like the last 4 are the ones she scratched completely off. I tried sending a message but was unsuccessful, please help me to get this information to you.
