Sephora probably has 2 available in the higher categories of points if that. Be careful Sephora! This could be considered deceptive trade practices!
I think it’s a charade. I called customer service after one was immediately “sold out”. The customer service representative said none had been redeemed but it still showed in his system as unavailable. Called back later because the same exact item is still online for sale; 150 of them are in stock but not redeemable with rewards.
I log in at 9am exactly and they are sold out when I log in at exactly 9am. I am refreshing as soon as it is 8:59am. So it is a scam or some people get access earlier.
I too cannot manage to get a reward above 250 points. They are always sold out or impossible to get. Stop advertising rewards when they cannot be actually ordered because this is a broken promise and will make customers angry. I refuse to shop by having to make an appointment to go online at 9 am (during work) on Tuesday and Thursday when the very few rewards drop and I can go in a race to the cash out. I am realizing that the rewards are not worth getting because Sephora expects too much from me in exchange for receiving a reward I have earned. I've been a Rouge member for 2 years and cannot manage to get a reward of any size. Today, I went online for a few minutes, actually saw a 1500 point reward, put it in my basket, and put a few other items in to be efficient online, and 10 minutes later the purchase did not go through. Customer service said the reward was SOLD OUT. That is really the end of the line for me, and I will be going to other cosmetic stores or buying direct from the companies themselves, who also offer rewards and discounts. Sephora, don't advertise rewards if you don't intend to give any real rewards out. It is becoming an obvious marketing scam.
I'm with you. Its extremely frustrating! I have over 20 thousand and have NEVER been able to get a reward because everything over 750 is gone in a flash, and why the hell would I want to fly ( not included) to tour some place that I have no interest in? This " Reward" program blows. Would rather shop at Dept. Stores ( free gifts w/ purchase) or Ulta where I get $ back. My bad for staying loyal for so long...

I completely agree with everyone on this thread. It is absolutely frustrating. It’s been over 6 months every Tuesday and Thursday I’m on time for the reward and even within 2 mins everything is sold out. It’s completely ridiculous. We spend so much money we should be able to get a decent reward.

I can spend over $1000. per year because I have a great job and buying makeup is not that job. I dont work for you; I'm a customer. I dont expect unlimited reward availability but as a shop-when-I-can person I should be able to get one larger reward after a few years of trying. I feel disrespected. It is not worthwhile shopping to this level at Sephora because your goal is to gather more buyers at the lower per year purchase level. I just cleared my cart and ordered direct from the brand.

I completely agree. The Clinique thing has been there since September they don’t seem to add & 500 hundreds often and when they do they are so out right after listed. so maybe is not with it.
I am VIB but recently enjoy more and more shopping at other cosmetic stores. Not only Sephora never sends me the rewards that I pick but even not the 3 free samples! The package contains only one item - the product I bought...The other online shops pack the boxes with good samples, here at Sephora I have to call and ask where are the 3 samples and the rewards. The answer always is: "We don't know". "High volume orders" and so on...They even have the nerve to tell me that the samples I had picked were unavailable, while even at the moment when I call the website displays them as available. Even so, they should replace them with something else. I really do not like shopping any more at Sephora. Frustrating shopping.
This has happened to me several times, too. I've started shopping elsewhere, because it's just not worth it to stick with Sephora. You're definitely not alone!
That’s happend to me too. I know they’re just samples but some of us are looking forward to trying a somewhat expensive product or new product before investing in the full size.
I hate the new program!! I have over 3,000 points. I don't want to redeem 100 point items, I want something good! Every time I see something I like 750 or higher, it is sold out. I am usually at work when they launch them. So sad
I am cutting them from future purchases for this reason, many High end stores give great samples, much better than Sephora for No points.
Nordstrom often has the same products with a nice GWP, they have fair benefits for shopping, and no one can beat them for customer service!
I understand everyone's response about the whole "luck of the draw" thing, but NEVER seeing anything except "sold out" just makes me feel sad every time I open my app. It's really alienating for your customer base, particularly Rouge members - I thought Sephora wanted us to feel special? Jeez.
It is a scam because every time i log in exactly at 9am and they are sold out immediately. no one can checkout in one second. and ulta give you dollars for your rewards so i now try to shop at ulta.
i get my hair done at Ulta, and you can really rack up some points and get significant $$$ of purchases. much better than saving points for a "reward" that will never be available!
