Returning gifts without receipt

Hello.  My sister gifted me a few items that didn't work out for me: two mascaras and a couple things from TIL.  I don't have a receipt.   Will CS pls work with me to return the items?  I'd be fine with a merchandise/store credit.  Thank you for your help.

I'm sorry these items are not working out! If the products were purchased online, we can help set up a gift return on your account. Please feel free to send me a private message with the name of the products and the order number. 

If the products were purchased in store, I recommend contacting your local Sephora store for assistance. They may be able to look up the purchase with your sister's phone number or email address. Thank you!

I have the same issue but i have a valid gift receipt for an unused product. I went to 2 stores and they are unable to process the exchange.  They were even able to verify the purchase from my friends account but the gift receipt didn't work or couldn't scan properly.

@LaurieBT thanks for responding so quickly.   My sister doesn't use an account for purchases, so there isn't any way to look it up.  Do I have any options for a return?

@greeneyedgirl107, I'm sorry, proof of purchase is required for a return or exchange. We're unable to assist if the purchase can't be verified. I apologize for the disappointment this may cause!
