Returning a Gift

Hi community! I was recently given makeup for my birthday but some things I received were duplicates and I don’t think I need them. Unfortunately I don’t know where my friends bought their items, and I’d hate asking because then it’d be really obvious that I’m returning them. If the item was bought at a Sephora (or even if it wasn’t) how can I return it without a receipt? And is there a way to check where an item was bought???

@makeuplover2337 I believe Sephora employees will ask for your state ID or driver’s license when you try to make a return without receipt. There is also a $ limit per year to returns without receipts!
