Returned items not scanned by USPS

I tried returning two items and USPS picked up the package but never scanned it so it shows its not in their system. I contacted USPS who were no help. They said the package probably wasn't scanned (Probably?) even though I received a confirmation email that it was picked up. They suggested I send a missing mail inquiry, which i did, but they still haven't located it. I reached out to sephora via chat and they told me to email them the documentation i had. I emailed Sephora and they have the WORST customer service. The reps weren't even responding to what I wrote. It was like they were just copying and pasting generic answers. I attached the confirmation email of the package being picked up, the correspondence from USPS saying sorry your package probably wasn't scanned, and the missing mail search inquiry I submitted. Finally, Sephora just said sorry we can't help you. It's ridiculous. I get better customer service from Walmart which is crazy to say.
