Problems with Too Faced Discount

I ordered some too faced holiday collections on the first day of their 20% off discount alert. However I noticed that when adding items to my cart the body shimmer was not discounted (but my gingerbread set was) and I was charged full price for it. But today I'm seeing that it has been discounted as it should have been yesterday. As a uni student every dollar counts. can someone explain to me if this was a glitch on Sephora's end, and if I can be refunded the extra amount that was charged.
