Pending shipment?

Ordered on Monday; shipment was said to arrive by Friday but it's nearly Thursday and shipment is still pending. Sephora says 1-2 days processing, it's been longer than that and still no word. Wouldn't have ordered online if I knew it would take so long. Why bother saying you offer 3 day shipping when that is never the case?
