Order Partially Canceled

I haven't ordered from Sephora online too many times and only once since I signed up for Beauty Insider but something weird happened. I placed an order two days ago (October 9th) and all of my items were in stock when I ordered. I had an order over $50 so I got their 3 day free shipping and part of my order shipped out yesterday with the other half shipping out today. However they canceled one thing out of my order because it was out of stock (It was one of the KAT VON D Studded Kiss Lipsticks). Can anyone tell me why this happens and what I can do about it? I'm really upset about this and all the FAQ says is check the email button for when it's back in stock.

I'm very sorry to hear that you have both had items cancelled from your orders! Generally speaking, once an item is in your order, it will be shipped to you. However, on rare occasions, popular items are sold out faster than anticipated and unable to be included. I know this is frustrating, and am very sorry that this happened. 

 

If the item is still available on our website, I recommend adding your email to be notified once the item is back in stock. Alternatively, your local Sephora store may carry this item! 🙂

Happened to me too recently w/the Minnie lipstick. I was so disappointed! I think w/sale stuff it just happens if the item runs out. It's sad tho b/c you'd think placing the order means you snagged it. 😕
