Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation NOT being sold in stores?

Hello, 

I went in to my local stand-alone Sephora store to purchase the new Nars foundation. I was told right when I entered that they weren't being sold in the stores, more specifically, they didn't have the authority to sell in the stores, and it was online ordering only. The employee I spoke with told me many people came in asking about it, but that they didn't have it and that maybe if they keep getting inquiries, that they can put in a request to have the authorization to sell in store. To me, she seemed to be implying it wasn't being sold at any of the Sephora stores, only online. 

However, when I got home, I checked online (to make sure because I recall seeing my shade available in the store) and sure enough, it is showing all shades available at the stores within a 100 mile radius. 

Is this true? If no, then that's a real bummer because I went in specifically so I could confirm my shade and purchase it. Unfortunately, I'm not able to go back to make sure so readily. But I also wanted to share this information, in case this needed updating, because I know a lot of customers live really far away from their nearest Sephora, and to have to drive all the way because of a misinformation would suck.

That’s really weird. My local Sephora had it on the official launch day (Fri Jan 05) and there was NARS reps on standby to colour match people. I grabbed one for myself. I live in a suburb of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
