My same day order never arrive and DoorDash status says it was cancelled

My same day delivery never arrived and Door

dash shows it was cancelled but Sephora says it was fulfilled on their end. They said they see the DoorDash status was cancelled and would try to issue a refund. The thing is was a) I’m out of these products and need them b) this was an expensive order, around $200.

My question is, will any action be taken against the DoorDash driver?? If they picked up an order and proceeded to cancel it late in the evening, wouldn’t this mean they stole the products? Has anyone else experienced this before? This is very frustrating.
