Got a giftcard worth $100. When tried to use, the balance was 0.

I got a Sephora gift card worth 100$ at Sephora in-store a couple of months ago. When I tried to use it recently, I have scratched the card during purchase and the balance was 0. The lady in-store mentioned that she cannot help and recommended trying online support. When reached out to online support, they tell me to ask for help in-store. I'm being tossed here and there without being helped. Now my $100 have gone down the drain. So disappointed with Sephora support.
