Gift card is adding an extra charge.

So I got a gift card for Christmas of 2018, and I am finally getitng around to using it 9 months later. Anyways, while I am checking out, I enter my gift card and instead of just taking off the $25, it also charges me $20. The charge is labeled as Credit Card Payment, but I do not have a Sephora credit card. I've included pictures below of before I enter the gift card and after. 

And either way, if I enter the gift card or not, it comes out to the same total. I don't understand what is going on. Would any one have any clue on this? This makes 0 sense.

There’s no extra charge. You have a $25 giftcard and you are ordering $45 worth of product. The extra charge is the amount you owe after the giftcard has been applied.

It means you still owe the $20.96. The receipt is correct.
