Gift Card Activation Issue

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some advice or help regarding an issue I’ve encountered with a Sephora gift card. My friend bought me a $50 Sephora gift card as a Christmas gift, but when I tried to use it, it turned out to be invalid.

I contacted Sephora’s customer service, and they informed me that the value wasn’t added to the card at the time of purchase. They suggested I go back to the original store to activate it. The problem is that my friend paid in cash, and we don’t have the receipt anymore.

I still have the gift card, and I’m wondering if there’s any way Sephora can activate it without the receipt or if there’s another way to resolve this. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Any tips or guidance would be much appreciated!

@Ada1222 I'm sorry to hear that! We don't have a way to activate a gift card.
