DO NOT RETURN ITEMS BY MAIL!!!

I had ordered the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and Rare Beauty Cream Blush and found that they did not match my skin tone. I ordered them online, so I returned them via mail. When I contacted customer service the other day to inquire about when I would be refunded for my return (since tracking showed it was delivered back to sephora) I was told that I would be refunded by March 12. Today, March 10th, I receive an email from sephora saying We have been notified that our Distribution Center has received your return.
We are unable to offer a refund because the shipping package either contained incorrect contents or was empty." !!!!! What do you mean empty???? And since when does sephora not accept online returns??? 

I'm so upset as these products are not cheap - and now im left with no products and am out $90+ ..... 

 

This doesnt make me want to order from sephora ever again if this is how they handle things
