Could I retrieve a copy of my store purchase receipt for warranty purpose?

Hello,

 

I rarely purchase anything in the store but this one time I decided to go green and buy a Drybar hair dryer in a store back in November 2018. Now the dryer is dead after only 8 months of use, I want to submit a claim under warranty and it requires a proof of purchase. I initially thought I would have an e-receipt from the in-store purchase since I have a Beauty Insider account but no, could not find anything and I do not keep any paper receipts so there is no way for me to prove the purchase.

 

The only thing that I found is that the Sephora app does show the item in my in-store purchase history as the purchase was linked to my account. However, if I did a screen shot of the app, it does not show my full name and address and I am not certain if it can serve as a proof of purchase. I also checked my online account hoping it would provide me with more details but it actually only shows in-store purchases being made without showing what the purchased items are. 

 

Could anyone provide any suggestions on how I can do to obtain a copy of the receipt or some kind of proof of purchase? 

 

I am also thinking about calling up Drybar to find out if there is any way around this. Honestly if it weren't for the $135 price tag, I will not even bother with Drybar due to such poor quality. The $20 Conair hair dryer that I purchased 6+ years ago (which I gave up on when switching over to Drybar) is still working and it is what I use in the mean time.

I am sorry to hear about your item! Sephora.com does not have a copy of your store receipt. However, I suggest inquiring with your local Sephora store directly to see if they are able to assist you with this. Thank you!
