Combining phone number account to email

Whenever I shop at Sephora, I give my phone number at the checkout for payment. Hence, I have lot of points in it but can not access it through my online account. I would like to add my points to this account so that I can have all of my points in one account. Please let me know how to do it?

I shopped in store the other day, put in my phone number, and the associate said I have many points.

I didn’t think of it much at the time but then the next day opened the app and saw that I only have 80 or so points (I did not redeem any in store) 

I called customer support and they told me I must be using two different emails, but I really don’t think that’s the case. I think one of my accounts is phone-based (what I’ve used at physical stores) and the other is email-based (which explains the app/me being logged in while shopping online). 

can someone please look into this for me? Id really love to merge the two accounts. Thanks so much!!
