Candles arrived destroyed - customer service won't issue refund or replacement

I received 5 candles today purchased with a promotion. They arrived completely melted and destroyed. I've had many issues with candles from Sephora in the past (arriving shattered, melted, etc), and because I've returned past shattered candles, they won't issue me a refund until I physically return the candles. I've spent thousands of dollars at sephora, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. (And my fault for continuing to buy candles from sephora! hah)
