Bad Batch of Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara??

Is there any way someone could help me with this?? I recently ordered a full size tube of the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash mascara and my eyes have had an AWFUL reaction both times I’ve worn it so far. The first time I wore it I thought I had scratched my eyelid and had to take my contacts out and wear glasses for two days, and now I’m experiencing the exact same reaction. It looks like I got punched in both eyes or have been crying for days. My lids are swollen, under eye bags are terrible, my eyes themselves are red and irritated and my lashes were glued together when I woke up this morning. (I can provide photos if needed. Would post them here but they’re not very pretty...)

I’ve used this formula plenty in the past and have always loved it, but I usually just order the travel size because I feel like I get more use out of it before it expires. I decided to splurge on the full size product this time, though, because I’ve loved it so much every time! That’s why I’m assuming I got a bad batch or something, since I’ve had such a good experience with the formula in the past and it can’t possibly be that different from travel size to full size.

Help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Wow, I’m so sorry you’re going through that! I would say, first and foremost, of course stop using it. If you’re looking for a refund I would hope Sephora would stand behind their products and allow you to return it. You may never know if a formula change occurred, so my best advice would be to move on and find another brand. May not be the best answer, and I know it’s disappointing when you find a product you like and then this happens, but focus needs to be on yourself and avoiding the bad reaction you had so I wouldn’t risk it. Yes, of course I won’t continue using it - I’m not a glutton for punishment! I was hoping for a replacement if I just got a bad tube, but of course you may be right about the formula possibly changing. In that case hopefully I’ll just be able to get a refund. 😔 Very sad, but sometimes these things do happen.
