American Express gift card unable to place order

Hello,
When trying to pay for an order this message keeps popping up "Unable to place your order. Please verify that your card information and billing address are correct. If applicable, we have reversed any pending charges to your account." All the information is correct and I have enough money on the card. But the only problem is that it won’t save the security code every time I’m put it in. Assistance is appreciated
