$100 gift card balance disappeared

I received a $100 gift card a month ago, and when I went to use it in the store it said I had a balance of $0.00 on the card. I had never used the card before and hadn’t even taken it out of the packaging until that day. I’ve seen so many posts from other people who had the exact same issue, and it seems like Sephora isn’t doing anything about this problem. Is there any way to see gift card transaction history and get the money back?

Same thing happened to me today, I had a $50 card and the balance is at 0 now. I never used it.

@2006mariyamA You can adjust your account settings (the gear icon) on a desktop or mobile web browser, not the app.

The same thing just happened to my daughter.  Brand new gift card out of the packaging and all but $9.60 was left on a card that had to have a $25 minimum.  Customer service doesn't seem to want to help her, even though they are aware this is a problem. It's very frustrating.

so frustrated! The same thing happened to me! Called Sephora and all they said was that I was a part of a GC scam and there is nothing they can do! Really do better Sephora! I just advised everyone I know not to buy GCs anymore and just to gift cash!

Same exact thing happened to me in March, 2024!!

 

Received a gift card for Christmas, checked the balance which showed up as $100.  When trying to use it at the store, it rang up as zero!  When I went back to the website to check the balance, it also showed up as $0?

 

Am I losing my mind?  Is it possible to see what was purchased with the gift card?  Maybe I used it, but I don't think I did.  How can the card be confirmed whether used or not?

can you help me with this? it seems like the same thing has happened to me and the $100 giftcard has gone to $0 without being used

This happened to me today, I had been so excited to finally make my online Sephora order. There was $25 on my card and I saw it with my own eyes when I added it to my account 2 weeks ago. This morning it said there was still $25. But when I just went to check out it says there’s a balance of $0.00 

If anyone can help that would be great, I don’t have a well paying job so this was going to make my week a lot better… and it was a birthday gift @pmem
