light, cool, olive undertone!

Hello!

I recently discovered that I have an olive undertone, as opposed to the neutral/cool i’d battled between for the past 10 years! I’ve always felt that makeup made me look worse and wouldn’t compliment my features well. Looking back, it all makes sense! I’m looking to start fresh with my makeup collection and buy products that match my skin tone  (concealer, tinted moisturizer) as well as compliment my complexion (blush, lips, eyeshadow). I know I can use blue pigment to neutralize the yellow in the foundations I currently have, but I would really just love to have an easier solution! The best matches I’ve found so far are the glossier g10 concealer and the elf camo concealer in fair warm (??).

@jazzyg23 I can’t help with exact matches but I can commiserate in that I have to adjust nearly every shade I own to perfectly match my peachy fair skin.  Even very close matches can always be improved with a little colour tweaking.   Fair skin is very unforgiving when it comes to shade matching.

I have tried just about everything. Tom Ford 14 Bone to yellow, Urban Decay Stay Naked 30CG too green, Armani Luminous Silk 3.5 to orange, NARS (no light olive), Clinque CN 08 Linen, CN 0.75 Custard and all the cheaper ones. I finally found a match or at least I think it is a match.

I have very dry skin and roscea. I now have melasma unfortunately. I prefer to cover the red irritation. My undertone is mainly grey. The sickly look to other people.

Color # 2.5. It is a bit fair but perfect undertone match.

I tried color # 9 when I was tan but now that I'm super pale it looks orange and definitely too dark

Best part is you can buy sample cards to try the colors. I bought 2 cards for each color. The foundation is pricey thus sample card.

Half of face forward is when I was tan from living in the southern USA with no makeup.. 

The arm 2.5 on left center no makeup, right 9.  They are blended up the wrist on each side.

I have issues with pilling at times but I find it is because my face was too dry when I applied the foundation.

@jazzyg23   Light cool olive- Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation 002 is my perfect match.  Their direct site sells samples so you can try several before deciding to make the investment.

I have found that Asian brands and European beauty sites (such as Cult Beauty,) can sometimes sell additional shades of foundation brands that aren't available in the US, and may be a better match.

Dior, Haus Labs and Fenty are foundations that have olive tones.  (Fenty runs a little yellow/orange, but still has olives).  If anything, go get shade matched @jazzyg23

Haus Labs was a perfect light olive match for me, but unfortunately runs streaky on me after a few minutes, so I had to return it. I was very sad though, because the color and the formula are gorgeous.

Right now I have no options other than Beautyblender Bounce Skin Tint in Light 4. Before then, L'ancome Skin Feels Good in Blonde Pecan was my go-to but they sadly discontinued it.
