Suggestions for Medium Tan neutral, cool leaning olive skin

Guys help meeeee! I just ordered Fenty 290 because it seems dark and neutral olive enough for me but I havenโ€™t received it yet. Sadly it is matte and Iโ€™m dry. Id really like a luminous one. Iโ€™ve been on Temptalia to shade match but every olive shade in my depth is too yellow/warm toned which looks orange on my skin. I asked the OliveMUA subreddit but they seem to come up with the same warm olive shades which might work ifI only had a blue mixer. I looked to order the makeup forever blue mixer but itโ€™s sold out. I really really donโ€™t want to be orange anymore so id like a shade to use until I get the blue mixer. I look like a pumpkin and itโ€™s not cute lol Medium olive foundation shades are too light and makes me look ashy. I wear KOH GEN DO 143 but it is too yellow toned so it appears orange although less than other foundations like the It Cosmetics CC cream in medium tan with is orange and Lโ€™Oreal Lumi W5 (I mix shades) which is super orange. Please send help.

Re: Suggestions for Medium Tan neutral, cool leaning olive skin

Hi @DieuHast,

I have Medium Tan skin with a neutral undertone and would suggest the following foundations: BareMinerals Original Foundation in Medium Tan (good for all skin types), Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 6.5 (excellent for dry skin) and Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Honey.

Also, the Fenty Foundation oxidizes after a couple of minutes, so it is recommended that you go a shade or two down. I was matched in 290 and use 260. Also, if you have dry skin, you can try using the Fenty Foundation with a moisturizing primer to help it set better. A really good one is the Good Hydrations primer from Bare Minerals which has coconut water to keep your skin hydrated. I hope this helps!

Thank you for being a valued Sephora client.

Stay Gorgeous,

Penelope

Hi! Thank you for answering! I did get the Fenty and while it did seem to match at first it did dry a tad too dark and even slightly orange. I plan to wear it in the summer and I think it will work. However the 260 isnโ€™t listed as olive and Iโ€™m quite green. Do you find that there is a lot of green in the foundation? I wasnโ€™t also recommended Armani shade 6. Out of all the foundations you listed, which is the most green? I appreciate your time!
