I started using Merit’s Great Skin serum about a month ago and hadn’t any problems and was generally enjoying the product. But yesterday my face broke out into hives, similar to the post above. I tried again today to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, and same thing happened. Confused because everything was fine until yesterday and no other factors to my daily routine changed (other skincare products, makeup, detergent, etc). My skin is prone to being sensitive however Merit products have generally been safe. Wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with extended use?

@Tinker245 You're not just battling sweat but humidity. Maybe try using a powder foundation and then use a setting spray at the end? You can use blotting papers throughout the day and touch up as needed.

@BrilBun I'm so sorry to hear that. Would you like some recommendations for skincare to get at the underlying issue? In the meantime, mascara and lip gloss would be a good start. However, there are many skincare and makeup trends going around right now, and having the more trendy products can make the child feel special and feel like they are fitting in! Of course you should never sacrifice your skin to hop on a trend though. That is a given. I would say that Bubble and Byoma are two great brands for young skin. Avoid serums and be cautious as to what is meant for adult skin vs young skin.

Clean beauty brand Seint is going to help you. We have women who have lupus and sjorgens and swear by this brand. Even soothes the pain because it is hydrating.
