Cheek Challenge Winter 2024: Mocktail Makeup

Hey, we're back at it, collab'ing with @sister13 for Makeup Challenge of the Week 2021/2022/2023   Time to get cheeky, winter style with...

Blush Cocktails!!!

Creating cheeked out versions of cocktails but with makeup - custom combos of complexion products like concealer, blush, highlighters, bronzers.   Don't just think of layering.  Break out your mixing palettes (or palms or back of your hands if that's what ya got)!  Basically, recipes with blushes inspired by boozy beverages.  Get all the glam of the chic cocktails, but none of the calories. 😂 (Great if you're also doing a dry January).  If you're not sure what a particular drink looks or tastes like, that's okay!  These threads are all about interpretations of looks.

Jan 14-20: Cherry Cola/Cherry Cocktail Lips + Cheeks. Think ombre lips and burgundy or deep red looks.

Jan 21-27: Hot Toddy Week. Think bright and sultry, go for golds and honey or amber colors.
Jan 28-Feb 3: Espresso Martini\Martini Week.  This is the martini look - green and shimmer, but you could also add a deep lip to it or go for brown or plum version.

Feb 3-10: Maiden's Blush or Cosmopolitan Week This is the one that started it - Maiden's Blush, by RMS beauty.  It's coral, shimmery and warm.

Feb 11-17: Red Wine & Hot Chocolate - If you do partake in alcohol, try this it's delicious.  The look speaks to red and brown, but again, you choose.

Feb 18-24: Pink Blush /Blush Wine - Essentially, this is a pink look, but pinks have all sorts of tones, so have fun playing with this, whether it's all pink or a pop of pink.

This is a lip pencil, I just drew my outline and then filled in my lips. To finish I just put a Fenty gloss over top. ( The holographic lip Luminizer she put out just before Christmas 😉)

The lip pencil is from an old Morphe collab, it's called Pataya Pink 🩷

@CynthieLu great job layering!  I Always thought lip liner all over would dry out my lips.  Does it do that to you?

I think it depends on the lip liner, some are so dry and others are so creamy. @greeneyedgirl107 These ones are not very dry 🎉 and I just prep my lips with MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Lip Primer 0.05 oz/ 1.7 g or Eucerin lip balm 😉

*I tap my lips with water and then press them a few times together until they are dry and then use a the balm or primer for extra hydration*

My makeup collection is surprisingly modest (Unless we're talking eyeshadow.. 🙈🙈 ) I only have a few liners. I was just on a month long mission to find a good brown toned lip liner.

And one I liked that wasn't overly creamy but not too dry was by One/Size ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Lip Snatcher Waterproof Precision Lip Liner Rent Due ( 19 CAD I think)

My Morphe Nyxx collab ones are very creamy but not available anymore.

I gotta figure when you have the time go on a hunt, there's got to be some good affordable options out there. E.L.F is always surprising me with good affordable things. 🤩

I used Danessa Myricks Beauty Groundwork: Defining Neutrals - Palette For Eyes, Brows, Face & Lips on eyes, and lip line and cheeks. I used two of the shades on cheeks, a lighter and then a more chocolatey shade. I tried a few different lips on with this but I think I liked this one the best, which is Groundwork lip liner with Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Fuchsia Flex .

Yes! And then I had basically the same thought process re: lip liner, since I don't have too many brown lip liners and I was bored with all of them, and then used the Groundwork right in front of me. @Mellmars1185
