Cheek Challenge Winter 2024: Mocktail Makeup

Hey, we're back at it, collab'ing with @sister13 for Makeup Challenge of the Week 2021/2022/2023   Time to get cheeky, winter style with...

Blush Cocktails!!!

Creating cheeked out versions of cocktails but with makeup - custom combos of complexion products like concealer, blush, highlighters, bronzers.   Don't just think of layering.  Break out your mixing palettes (or palms or back of your hands if that's what ya got)!  Basically, recipes with blushes inspired by boozy beverages.  Get all the glam of the chic cocktails, but none of the calories. 😂 (Great if you're also doing a dry January).  If you're not sure what a particular drink looks or tastes like, that's okay!  These threads are all about interpretations of looks.

Jan 14-20: Cherry Cola/Cherry Cocktail Lips + Cheeks. Think ombre lips and burgundy or deep red looks.

Jan 21-27: Hot Toddy Week. Think bright and sultry, go for golds and honey or amber colors.
Jan 28-Feb 3: Espresso Martini\Martini Week.  This is the martini look - green and shimmer, but you could also add a deep lip to it or go for brown or plum version.

Feb 3-10: Maiden's Blush or Cosmopolitan Week This is the one that started it - Maiden's Blush, by RMS beauty.  It's coral, shimmery and warm.

Feb 11-17: Red Wine & Hot Chocolate - If you do partake in alcohol, try this it's delicious.  The look speaks to red and brown, but again, you choose.

Feb 18-24: Pink Blush /Blush Wine - Essentially, this is a pink look, but pinks have all sorts of tones, so have fun playing with this, whether it's all pink or a pop of pink.

@Mellmars1185 did you use the liner as a liner or all over?  How long did the color last from the Nars?

@greeneyedgirl107 I used the liner on the outside and shaded inward a bit on the outer corners and blended with my finger. I washed this look off after applying so I can't give accurate feedback on the Nars. I can see the colour lasting a bit longer than a typical ba because it is quite pigmented.

@Mellmars1185 interesting! Vi wouldn't have thought it was too pigmented.   I might be mixing it up with another product.   Thanks for the info!

@greeneyedgirl107 I think I should have said it is more pigmented than I would have thought for a balm. I wore it today again. It lasted for a few hours. After eating and drinking I needed to reapply. But it gives a nice pinky glow.

@sister13 Thank you! I know the struggle is REAL. For myself, I discovered that clearing my browsing history and then logging back in helps. Everytime I cant see the red hearts I start that process.

Yes, seems I have to close all my browser tabs and then start at Sephora.com (at least on iPad) and I always have a LOT of tabs open, lol. @Mellmars1185

@peculiarzmakeup Thank you so much. These two products worked well together. The CT is very pigmented. I toned it down with a bit of foundation to melt it into the look. I went back in with the Haus labs to put some intensity back into the look ☺️💗

Heh @Mellmars1185 , I admit to doing the same!  No shame in taking advantage of time when you have it.

I like this so much, it's very subtle, like soft and romantic.  I could totally see this as bridal makeup.

@danielledanielle Thank you! I was actually thinking it could be nice bridal makeup aswell. I will be doing my own wedding makeup in May and this was the first time I thought "hey this could work!". I need to practice and narrow down what I want. It can be overwhelming with so many options.

@danielledanielle Haha you heard correct! I guess I am still taking it all in. It is just a small  pop up wedding we booked at the end of December. I am off this week to do a little bit of prep and a week in May. It is going to be here so quickly. Thank you so much 💞☺️
