What is this? My attempt to ensure we all enter the Fall seeervvvviiiiinnggg. I loved the past two rounds, but I didn't get enough. I want more. I'm greedy. (That's why this one is called "feed me" 😂)
The weeks ahead, I want you to select a blush or cheek/complexion product from the theme to blush your best.
Week 1 (Sep 29-Oct 5): Serve...entering the 🍂, and a week out of NYFW (OOP, yet apropos to be fashionably late with this), let's serve. We're at the the helm, Paris Fashion Week. Take a trend from the runways.
Some ideas:
Cloud Blush
Orange Blush
Blurred berry blush
Dewy Skin
Colorful lashes
Week 2 (Oct 6-12): Signature. What blush look or color defines you best, meaning...if you were a blush, you'd be ______
Week 3 (Oct 13-oct 19): Snatch. Let's contour, my cheek-quettes! Face Mapping time! See 🏫🎓BIC University 🎓🏫 for tips and maps.
Week 4: (Oct 20-26) Snatchural (🙏🏽 @adityamadiraju for this term). Give me high blush with a light flush
Week 5: (Oct 27-Nov 2) Spook-ay . Halloween Week 🎃👻 Go orange, Go vamp, Go trick, treat, sweet
Week 6(Nov 3-9): Splay & Slay...Blush Blindness. Go as bold with it as your willing. Make it your persona.
Additional weeks (?) TBD.
@danielledanielle great thread!
TY! @greeneyedgirl107 , any blushes you're into at the moment?
@danielledanielle unfortunately no, as I have a heavy hand with blush. I was hearing from patients that I was wearing too much, so I stopped. When people that have dementia, are brain injured, etc notice then you know you have a problem! Plus, I don't know much technique. I was considering BM blushlighter, gentle by MAC, and one from SC to try out recently, tho.
@greeneyedgirl107 I hope it's okay to jump in here. I've found I need to be more careful with shades/opacity because I can easily look like I have a fever (I've had people inquire about my health at these times.) And I have trouble with placement if my face happens to be really puffy on a given day.
I've had the easiest time combating these issues with liquid blushes, unless they're very saturated like Rare Beauty's are.
Drunk Elephant O-Bloos™ Rosi Blush Drops with Vitamin F is the easiest for me to use because the placement doesn't have to be exact and it's light.
Armani Beauty Cheek Tint Longwear Lightweight Liquid Blush is another that's easy to use. Shade 53 Baby Pink is my go to for this product; 62 Delicate Mauve is good too but requires more application care.
e.l.f. Camo Liquid Blush is another easy one. I have Bold Faced Lilac and it is super easy to blend and looks natural.
Just wanted to empathize and mention what works for me.
@Ispend2much6 of course it's ok to jump in - that's what the boards are for! I'm bookmarking this! 💕
@Ispend2much6 , you can jump in anytime, what works is sharing
@greeneyedgirl107 , OOP. I think that level of brutal honestly is only surpassed by children 😶. I generally lean into heavy handedness, like "my eyes aren't with shaded with bright blue eye lidds and my lips aren't this brown" mentality vs a no makeup look. But, there's power in each. A good no makeup makeup look usually requires a lot of layering. And products, which is confounding.
One thing that I think helps with a heavy hand with blush is diffusing it out from a point. Not to reference myself, but👇🏽Cheek Challenge Summer 2024: Choose Your Own Adventure
I did see that MAC, and was curious. I think today is the last day for 30% off specific items, dunno if that's included
@danielledanielle thanks for the support!
NP.
I was mistaken, the MAC sale ends today and the sheertone blushes are included! @greeneyedgirl107
@danielledanielle thanks for the heads up. I'll have to go to the MAC counter and test some for future reference. I tried a blush lighter in a Dior quad in store today quickly and it piqued my interest. Maybe I am getting into blush despite what I sd yesterday?!
I'm a few days late, but I still wanted to post. I think yesterday's look counts for blurred berry blush!
I used Kulfi Mehndi Moment Long-Lasting Radiant Cream Blush Blessed Berry , MERIT Day Glow Dewy Highlighting Balm Bounce , and the Hourglass holiday Deer palette. (Cross-posted with full products list to What are you wearing in 2025?? )
@caitbird That's gorgeous on you!
Beautiful! You look like a lady of the court/Royal @caitbird
I went with orange blushes this week.
Monday I wore Benefit Coralista. This is the original version that is more orange-y coral than pink-y coral. As you can see, I L-U-V this color! 🧡🧡🧡
Yesterday I wore Saie Dew Blush Liquid Cream Blush Spicy and Chanel Douceur d'Équinoxe Harmonie de Blushes in 797 Beige et Corail.
