I know we have threads dedicated to specific beauty brands but I didn’t really see one dedicated or updated for all things Trader Joe’s. It could be beauty, skincare, haircare, household or grocery items. Post your finds here so others could be on a lookout of what to find or is newly released at their local store. It could also be something you think people should try. Their beauty section is so underrated and most people don’t even know they have a beauty aisle.  Their candles and seasonal items are amazing and they always have unique snacks.

@Ispend2much6 I baked gingerbread cookies made with molasses one year and they were absolutely wonderful, but I was the only one who are them. 😅 So I haven't made them since but now you're making me want to.

@curlychiquita  Sorry!  🙂  I have an old Williams-Sonoma recipe that uses shortening as the fat, and it makes a cookie that is so chewy and stays soft.  Perfect for frosting. 🙂   I usually don't bake with shortening but every once in awhile a recipe usually benefits from it.

I had lost it and couldn't find it for 3 years, online or in my stash of recipes, so I need to make them this year.

Was your recipe a roll-out or drop cookie?

@Ispend2much6 I used the drop method with a scooper.  I have to say, any cake recipe that involves at least a stick of butter is the perfect cake recipe for me!! So I understand shortening in cakes and cookies.

@curlychiquita  Of course!  A dry cake isn't worth the calories (although I love biscotti even though it's dry.) 🙂

@curlychiquita  The closest one to me is a hour and a half away. I usually try to plan a shopping trip when I know they have the new seasonal stuff.

Oh I saw someone posted about the pumpkin Madeleine’s last year and I was so sad I could never find them. Maybe I’ll be able to find them in sept, just grabbed that yellow bag this weekend though

@CookieGirl1 You can ask the workers. They have a sheet they look at of when they will be getting stuff in. That’s how I find out when they are getting certain items that sell out in store like the Ube mochi mix, the Ube ice cream and the new yellow waffle tote.
