The Trader Joe’s Thread

I know we have threads dedicated to specific beauty brands but I didn’t really see one dedicated or updated for all things Trader Joe’s. It could be beauty, skincare, haircare, household or grocery items. Post your finds here so others could be on a lookout of what to find or is newly released at their local store. It could also be something you think people should try. Their beauty section is so underrated and most people don’t even know they have a beauty aisle.  Their candles and seasonal items are amazing and they always have unique snacks.

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@missjeanie It’s sort of like peanut butter. So you can eat it by the spoonful or put it on toast or crackers. The options are endless.

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@missjeanie, I’ve *heard* people just eat it by the spoonful as well. 😋 It’s delicious! I mean, I’ve *heard* it’s delicious that way. 😉

😂😂😂

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@missjeanie   I used to use it to bribe the kids to eat oatmeal when they were young.  🙂  Not a bad idea for grown-ups!

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@missjeanie  I use it as a dip for graham crackers or Nilla wafers 🙂

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

I gotcha @suzyo , set out a bowl of this stuff surrounded by dippables!

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@missjeanie  You can use cookie butter much like you’d use peanut butter, Nutella, or caramel. I mean, you can absolutely eat it out of the jar with a spoon 🙂 but I love to use it as a dip for raw fruit, especially apples—and most especially Granny Smith apples. It’s a great drizzle over apple pie, or any dessert pie. You can also bake with it: I’ve folded it into cookie doughs, and a friend of mine uses it in his banana bread dough. I’ve made CBP&J sandwiches with it (Cookie Butter, Peanut butter, & Jelly), or just CB&P sandwiches. You can spread it over toast, bagels, English muffins, etc. You can make your own chocolate peanut butter cups, but use cookie butter instead of peanut butter. Oooorrrrr, you can mix peanut butter and cookie butter together as a filling for your chocolate cups. You can do a lot with this stuff.

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

This is what I needed @WinglessOne !  So many ideas!

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@missjeanie  If you pick up a jar, show us how you use it! 🙂 I love cookie butter the way many folks love Nutella.

One more idea: mix cookie butter into hot coffee or hot cocoa. I’ve done this a few times. I especially like mixing hot coffee, hot cocoa (made with milk), cookie butter, and a tiny bit of cayenne powder for a little spicy kick. Gotta top it with marshmallows, that’s non-negotiable. In the frigid depths of January, I’ll make myself giant mugs of this drink.

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

Ha Ha... I'm hoping to make it to a store either between Christmas and New Years or in January @WinglessOne !  I'll be sure to do a haul on here lol

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

Hi @SportyGirly125 ,

I love Cookie Butter! The cookies are so good too!

Best Wishes,

Janean

Re: The Trader Joe’s Thread

A thousand yesses to the Speculoos cookie butters! Deliciousness in a jar! Nom, nom, nom! @SportyGirly125

RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

These are so good

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

Yes! Those butter wafer cookies are so good! Yum! Oddly enough, I don't think I've ever tried their flavored almond beverages. Making a mental note @SportyGirly125!

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@itsfi When I bring them to work they are gone in a day

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

Totally understandable @SportyGirly125! 🙂 So sweet and thoughtful of you to bring treats to share! ❤️

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

My daughter loves the Matcha Milk @SportyGirly125. They also have (had?) a Lavender Blueberry milk she enjoyed. Did you try the Turkey Stuffing Kettle Chips? We served them for fun on Thanksgiving.

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

How did the turkey stuffing chips go @eshoe? I tried them and wasn't a fan. It was interesting.

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

No fans here either, @itsfi. I couldn’t bring myself to try one, but the general consensus of those who did was just that; ‘interesting!’

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

Hahaha @eshoe! 🙂

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@eshoe I tried the blueberry drink but didn’t like it as much. No I haven’t tried the turkey stuffing kettle chips.  Those sound interesting.

Re: RE: The Trader Joe’s Thread

@SportyGirly125 Holiday snacking galore 😄 I haven't tried that matcha almond milk yet!
