Oddly enough, I like the one with the navy best...the others are pretty but I have so many shadows with similar colours! 

I really love how artistic the Modernist palettes are, but agree with @Mcakes this is probably way more practical.

As beautiful as the Modernist palettes are, I can see these being more practical. I wonder if the formula will be similar to those shadows, closer to the singles/duos they had before or will be completely different!

I was just thinking about this same thing... I would like to think they've reformulated but I wonder if it's mostly a form factor change.

Thoughts on Vanish Stick for dry skin? And any tricks on how to apply it? Has anyone tried it in conjunction with Ambient Lighting? And are the Ambient Lighting powders worth the hype?

@Anonymous I have dry skin as well and am pleasantly surprised by how great the Vanish stick foundation works! I use a very hydrating base. I recommend the Hourglass No. 28 primer or the Smashbox Oil. 

I use the Ambient Lighting Powders regardless of what foundation I am using. They leave the most beautiful finish on the skin!

Thanks so much for the tip @Mcakes! I actually have the primer oil already and love it! As for the Ambient Lighting, is it worth the hype? I hear alot about it and am just wondering what makes it so different and special! Thanks again 🙂

@Anonymous to me it's worth it. You really can't tell that it's doing much when you're applying it, but after you finish everything else in your makeup routine up and look up in the mirror...magic lol. It just leaves the most beautiful but natural looking perfecting filter on your skin. I love it! @Anonymous The vanish stick works well in my experience for dry skin, but not flakey skin. I have it and I have dry skin and I really like it! I don't tend toward flakey skin even though I am dry, but I will say that if I have a super try patch or something it can cling. 

I personally find it applies way better with a brush than a sponge. 

I really like the ambient lighting powder - they are very finely milled, you can definitely feel the difference.

Hourglass recently announced that by 2020 their entire line will be vegan. The brand is already cruelty free and making the commitment to go vegan is great.

! thank you for your post ! I’m thinking of leaving my long love Dior passion for Hourglass mainly because of the cruelty free aspect of the product, I think Hourglass foundations are incredibly good! I think we are in a turn into the history of cosmetics I hope many more people will do the switch to cruelty free product and that it will make the prestige line go the same way! 🍍👯💄🐇

I made the same switch... Dior was good to me, but this is better for everyone! You can do it!

I had the Holiday palette in my cart a 1 am, my time when the vib rouge sale went live, and by the time I finished checking out my pre-filled cart, it was a sold out online in Canada. Hopefully they have more stock in stores! It’s not even showing up on the app anymore.
