Products for hair growth

I've found that taking collagen powder every day works best for me. I tried hair and nail supplements, but the megadoses of biotin always give me acne. Black castor oil is a long-standing treatment for hair growth, but I can't imagine trying to treat my scalp with something so heavy and getting it off my hair.
