How to use my Bio ionic flat iron for international travel?

I have a bio ionic 10x pro flat iron and will be traveling to London. From what I understand this iron is dual voltage so it should work there but I'm nervous to use it since in past I've heard stories of friends who have ruined their iron when traveling internationally. I have no experience using hair tools overseas. Any suggestions on what I should be getting as far as adapters or converters to protect my flat iron?

To be extra safe I would say to make sure you get the adapter + the voltage converter (mine is two separate things that plug together I got them as a set at best buy). You would have to check the wattage of your iron to make sure you get a converter that could hypothetically carry the load - since I think hair appliances use a lot of juice and most converters will say "up to xxx-watts". If you have those two things you definitely, probably won't blow anything up. I haven't had any issues yet with my setup.
