Can you use the Olaplex hair treatment with heat?

I have a heat cap and plastic disposable shower caps and I was wondering if I can use the Olaplex hair treatment with heat for extra conditioning?

Just to confirm, Olaplex is not a conditioner. It’s a bond repairing hair TREATMENT that can be used along WITH your shampoo/conditioner regimen. When I use it with heat at my salon, it works just as beautifully as without heat. All the best to you as you enjoy renewed hair while using Olaplex! XO

Does it work as well as Keratin?

Re: RE: Can you use the Olaplex hair treatment with heat?

Olaplex is not protein or moisture. It’s a bond-builder that repairs your hair from the inside. Disulfide bonds are a separate thing from the protein that hair is comprised of. I recommend to my clients to get an a Olaplex treatment before and after a keratin treatment which uses an excessive amount of heat. This way, the bonds are strengthened and repaired before and after being damaged by heat, leaving the hair in a healthier state. Hope this helps!

Heat does not affect the results of Olaplex.
Olaplex works great with, or without it!

I get an a 10 to 15 minute Olaplex treatment Everytime I go in to have my hair colored, and my hairdresser usually puts me under heat depending on strength of my hair. If I'm having a lot of dryness and breakage she doesn't put me under heat and tells me to cut back on styling tools all together.
