Positive Vibe/ prayer request thread

Hi All,

Don't want this to be whining or venting thread but this is pretty much the only community I am active in and really really like it so thought of posting here. 

This is for everyone to post if you like/need.

Some of you may know that I have been though toughest time of my life for last one year and every aspect of my life is hit. Looks like the ordeal is not over and now it's onto my career and in turn mental wellbeing . Without going into too much detail, my health was compromised to the point that it was life threatening, my personal life crisis beyond belief that I never thought would happen to me and crushed me. Now my career is taking a hit for various reasons plus my health/ some physical limitation causing me further stress, anxiety, having hard time concentrating.

I am doing everything I can. Fighting this very hard, trying to stay positive. I have started working out regularly because I think that will help physical as well as mental wellbeing and doing everything I can but I feel I am at a point where it's getting tiring I can use some positive thought and your prayers. 

Also, if you are someone like me where sometime I am at a loss of words and not sure what to communicate to the person but I still pray for them, that is ok too, no need to feel pressured to post anything.

Feel free to post your own requests in this thread. Again, not a pity party and definitely do everything in your control to power though but sometimes positive vibes and prayers are just the things we all could use.

@prettyinpa honestly I'll probably wait until I get a house. The airbnb I'm staying in is really lovely 3 bedroom house and has a fenced yard so I looked up the price on Zillow and found it sold for an amount I could afford. About the price of an okay condo in my Chicago neighborhood. I was shocked to see it within my reach. After paying off my credit card debt, I will start saving for a down payment.

Thanks @WinglessOne I hope I have a Sephora as nice as the Michigan Ave location near me. I'm 20 minutes away from 2 of them. I need one that carries PMG as I like to test in person and want to buy a new one.

That is SO exciting, @sprocketta ! If you don’t mind, keep us in the loop with things in the move! I’ve moved cross country a couple times and I know it’s stressful but, yet, so exciting and full of possibilities 🤗

@scott1201 it's good to know my continued posting about this isn't getting annoying. I have quickly learned it's tough but it was too good an opportunity to let pass me by. I look forward to building a wonderful life in NC. Where were your moves from/to?

My partner and I moved (and, simultaneously, moved IN together - wouldn't recommend lol) from Columbus, Ohio to Dallas about 4 years ago. Talk about a culture change! Mid-size midwest city to very cosmopolitan, and HUGE, Dallas. It was great though and we lived there for 3 years. Made lots of friends and a great life together.

But, we missed our family and friends a lot. We both travel a lot for work and can work remotely, so we moved back to Columbus this summer! We were relo-ed by our companies the move to Dallas but had to pay ourselves to move back (neither of us worked for the same company by the time we moved back). Plus, we were selling our house we had bought in Dallas, which was a new experience. Overall, very stressful but a great life experience! I wouldn't trade my Dallas years for anything!

I'm sure you'll love NC and please, please!, keep us updated! @sprocketta

Thanks @scott1201 I can't imagine 2 moves like that! It is stressful but it will be worth it. I just got back from buying furniture. I found this in the store and had to have it. I live for red lipstick.

Thank you to all the lovelies who have been supporting me and sending good vibes my way regarding the job I was trying for in NC.  All those crossed fingers worked!  I did my in-person interview on Friday in NC.  I spent the weekend there to determine if I could see myself living there and I can.  I really liked it!  I received and accepted the job offer today!  I'm starting mid-December.  Time to get packing!  This is the opportunity of my life and I am sure it will be the start of my next great adventure.  I feel so fortunate to have the BIC folks for support.  Of course I checked and there is a Sephora in Winston-Salem where my job will be!
