Sephora Favorites

Hi all you beautiful people I would like to know what everyone thinks about the favorite kits in the last few years I have been thinking that the kits a few and far between and seems like some of the products have gotten extremely smaller would like to hear what you all think my favorite kits are the face kits just saying lol

Re: Sephora Favorites

Hi @Marie716 - I’ve only gotten into skincare a few years back, have purchased a number of Sephora Favorite Kits and love them. They’ve introduced me to a some really good products and I’ve also gotten to test what I don’t like so I think they’re a great deal - not to mention they ARE typically a great deal, value-wise.  But having purchased a number of kits over the recent years, I’ve started skipping the same ones due to product overload and purchasing Full size products based on what I’ve found works well.  Like I skipped a year of Skin Wonderland but then bought again the next year, and also for the Suncare kit.

Sounds like the older kits from years back were even better? Sorry to have missed those!

Re: Sephora Favorites

I think they're pretty hit or miss depending on the kit. I've had a bunch of sets that I've loved and plenty that I'm just not interested in. I wouldn't say that I've noticed them getting smaller over the years as much as an expansion of what's offered to include smaller kits at smaller price points. I do feel like there are usually more available at any given time nowadays then there used to be, but I don't have any numbers to back that up.

I will say I really miss the build-your-own K-beauty/skincare kits that Sephora used to do and hope they bring those back at some point!

Re: Sephora Favorites

I've only been shopping a few years, but I overall think they're good? @Marie716

The ones that call to me, skincare mostly, usually have products I want to try (especially as I was trying to build a stash and try a bunch if things), and from high end brands, so they seem worth the value. We've been getting also eye creams, oils, and things like essences, so those sizes would be smaller but represent the same ratio as like a moisturizer and its deluxe sizes.

I end up buying most of them (at Canadian prices, no less), although less as I have a large stash so if it is a bunch of things I have and don't like, I won't buy. I think it just depends on where you are in your collection, so if you've tried everything, they might not be as exciting? I'm still buying about half of them right now.

Re: Sephora Favorites

it depends.  you have to really look at the sizes and value.  some like the mini mask one had a lot of ones that are frequent samples/rewards or in play boxes, so I already had most of them so didn't feel like it was worth it.  if they're on sale/clearance, then they look better, lol.  I recently got the clean makeup kit when it appeared briefly on clearance - haven't tried it yet, but I was really excited since I've been wanting to try a natural highlighter, and it was a great deal.

Re: Sephora Favorites

I've liked some better than others. The last one that I bought was during the last VIB sale, which was the "Treat Yourself: Your Self Care Essentials Set". That one was worth it as it had a lot of full-sized products. However, I know what you mean regarding some of the kits having such small products that it doesn't justify the cost.
