Re: Product Releases: 2026

@danielledanielle I'm hoping to see some eyeliners and the velvet mascara come back!  I actually marked this one on my work calendar so that I don't forget!

Re: Product Releases: 2026

Oh no @itsfi ! And just when I was trying to save $! All of their stick formulations have been so satisfying though.

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@danielledanielle I'm hoping to go in to swatch some of the new Fenty Gloss Bomb Stix.  I wasn't sure based on online photos if I'd love the shades for me or not.  The formula is so good though.  I'm actually wearing Is it Fu$$y today.  It's one that lives in my purse.

Re: Product Releases: 2026

Heh, something told me Hourglass would bring these limited edition quads back from last summer. Same concept, different shades. Available direct from Hourglass.

“Fully customize your own” means you get to pick your own 4 shades—but your choices are limited to a pool of 24 shades that include finishing powders, blushes, highlighters, and bronzers. Many of those shades are from the 2025 holiday palettes, so this year’s pool of available custom quad shades is different from last year’s.

Each quad (curated or custom) is USD $78, same price as last year (and I still think it’s too high but that’s just how Hourglass rolls). There are probably some 10% affiliate codes floating around YouTube and elsewhere.

Last year I bought a custom quad for travel purposes, but sometimes I use it at home. I highly doubt I’ll buy another one this year since I’m in low-buy mode and really don’t need another of these. But it’s an option for folks who missed the holiday palettes, or wanted specific shades from two or more of those palettes, or simply want a travel-friendly bundle of four favorite recent shades.

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@WinglessOne I saw that and have been tempted but having gotten the Holiday palette and having a couple of my favorite of their blushes feel like my wallet is probably safe. Very, very tempting though I do wish they'd include some new shades.

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@PDXXXX  Now I’m trying to remember if they had any new (as in, never released before) shades, or if those were all from the previous holiday palettes + other existing shades. I’m pretty sure none of those were new either. I might’ve even complained about that last year. 😂 It would be great if Hourglass would let folks pick brand new shades for these custom quads, especially for the price they’re asking.

Anyway: yeah, having shades you already want is a good reason to skip these quads. 👍

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@WinglessOne I skipped last year but they got me this year. In my defense I was able to hoard 4 blush shades that I didn’t have (which I didn’t think it’s possible). 🥰

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@blackkitty2014  Glad and amazed you found 4 blush shades you were missing! That’s the hardest part of buying an Hourglass palette in general: avoiding repeat shades. Eh, not hard for collectors who’ll just buy each palette regardless of what’s inside, but for the rest of us it’s a challenge. 😂 Hope you enjoy your quad!

Re: Product Releases: 2026

Thx you @WinglessOne 🌹

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@WinglessOne It is nice that HG brought these back as they’re a great option for travel or picking up some that we didn’t have in the biggie palettes. The original ones sold so fast I missed them!  Though not all shades are the same this go round it’s fine. These will always be some of my favorite blush, powder and highlighters. Good to have them in one place too. 😊

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@itsfi  Interesting difference in ingredients. I’m actually surprised with no squalane. I’m interested to see the reviews! Will you pick it up? Or try and get more of the old version?

Re: Product Releases: 2026

@ather, I'll probably pick up the new one at some point, to compare with the old version. I'm a little bummed the new one doesn't have squalane. I'm assuming that the coconut alkanes in the new one are intended to be somewhat of a substitute, or a partial substitute for the squalane. The coconut alkanes in the Rhode glazing milk didn't work so well for my skin when used too frequently so we'll see how this new SPF fares. Anyhow, I'll wait to read some reviews and maybe test it out in store, pick up a sample first. I have other sunscreens I love, so I'm not in a hurry or in need of finding a replacement for the original but I am curious to see how the new one performs.
