@itsfi  I’ll tag you if I find a tester. I see Diptyque’s offering a free Lazulio sample with all online orders right now, or I could visit my local boutique (kinda outta the way for me). I’ll be at Nordstrom tomorrow anyway, so I’ll see if they have any pre-launch samples handy. 

Remember L'Occitane’s Eau de Vetyver? That’s one of the few non-grassy vetivers that quickly springs to mind; it was very woody citrus instead of grassy. If you ever smelled that one, did it work for you (no allergy-like symptoms)? Just trying to get a baseline image/scent in my head for Diptyque comparison.

Le Labo’s vetiver (don’t recall the number… asking Google… Vetiver 46) is also more woody than grassy, though that one really smells more like a woody incense fragrance thanks to the upfront olibanum, so… eh, Le Labo’s might not be a good comparison.

@WinglessOne, oh my goodness , don't go into a Diptyque just to smell it or get a sample. L'Occitane Eau de Vetyver was fine for me because as you said the vetiver in it didn't take on that grassy smell that some vetiver notes can. The more woody leaning vetiver scents I can do. Byredo Bal d'Afrique, yes; Creed Original Vetiver, no.

@itsfi  Oh, no worries on the boutique visit; I’d be going for other reasons, too. 😉 Let’s just say that boutique’s located far away from where anyone would expect it to be, though still well within city limits; outta my way but definitely not unreachable. I don’t get out to that neighborhood as often as I used to, so it’d be a good excuse to see how much has changed—and maybe pick up a Diptyque goodie or two my local Nordy doesn’t have.

Ah, Bal d’Afrique vs. Original Vetiver is a very good reference. Will keep that and L’Occitane in mind if I come across a Lazulio tester/sample.

Bumble and Bumble has a new hair oil called Bb Styling oil. It is a "dry oil" that is silicone-free. They are promoting it for use alone on damp hair, or mixed with other styling products on dry hair, for heat protection, hydration, shine, frizz reduction, and split end protection.

Will do @blackkitty2014. I'll wait to see which of the stores near me will stock this line; there are a couple I think will / should. I want to see if there's a good shade match and pick up a sample of this and maybe the Armani one, though with the latter, I may wait to hear what Ms. @jaaayp has to say about it. Or, maybe they'll release some samples as a promo gwp (though with better color ranges than last time 😞). I have a skin tint and tinted sunscreen that I should be finished with in a couple of weeks so timing could work out pretty well. @Sunnysmom

@itsfi @blackkitty2014 @Sunnysmom i have this on my loves but i havent picked it up... I'm very interested in picking this up!!! @itsfi the Armani was beautiful, it had the perfect amount of coverage, lasted all day, skin like finish, and i swear, for a skin tint, it may have been transfer proof. On that note, I did have to return it because the shade i picked up (I think it was F3? the darkest fair color) it was too pink on my neutral skintone. i think i could've gotten away with it in "normal" lighting but it was so apparent in the car mirror (the true test). I do think the shade adapted more neutral once it was set but still pink enough that my contour/bronzer looked more orange on me with the tint. I may need to pickup a different shade during the upcoming sale in October (?) and see if i can pull it off a darker shade.

@PrettyPaint I refuse to buy it full price. Sometimes I think we just need to put our foot down and say enough. Probably cost them quarter of a pice or less to make the product. 😘
