It's 2025 and we're on YEAR EIGHT (8) of the Pan It! Challenge 🍾
The "Rules"
To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.
Getting Started (please share the following)

Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:
Ideas to Help You Pan Those Items:
Past Panning Challenges:
For those of you who are interested in trying the challenge but fear you may not finish or move as quickly as others, remember:
@itsfi great job! That Osea body oil is a good one. I haven't used mine recently as I've been focused on other body products, but I do like it.
So many great body products out there @caitbird. I've found that I need to focus on one or two body care products at a time which can make it so hard to choose what those items will be - sometimes options make it more challenging 😅. Out of curiosity, do you have a particular approach to going through your collection of body products - do you pick out a few to focus on for a period of time or do you choose based on your mood for the day?
Items being evicted from the Shelves of Shame in April 2025 (posting a few days early since I don’t foresee anything else getting used up at the moment):
BBW body cream in Among The Clouds: notes are wild berry skies and whipped vanilla clouds. The younger, slightly wilder sister of Pastel Skies. Absolutely a favorite and so enjoyable as we got into spring.
Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm: the strong spicy clove smell aside, this is a great drugstore cleansing balm. It’s a small-ish jar and a soft formula, so I ended up going through it a bit quickly. I would repurchase again on sale or with a coupon, as the price per ounce is unfortunately not as economical as the jumbo Banila Co Clean It Zero.
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer with Niacinamide travel-size: this was the one I kept in my to-go bag. I have two more full-sizes of this exact moisturizer, and I literally never go on a plane—so I don’t really expressly need travel-size products. I doubt I’ll buy moisturizer again until the holidays. It’s a decent moisturizer, but not my favorite because it pills with some of my other skincare products.
BBW shower gel in Luminous travel-size: notes are ruby currant, gilded iris and praline amber. To me, this is what I imagine Blanche Devereaux smells like and I ADORE it. I feel like such a rich fabulous lady in my 1950s new money house when I smell this. Thankfully I still have the body cream so I don’t have to say goodbye to the scent yet.
Aveeno Calm + Restore Sensitive Skin Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes 25-count: I can’t even remember how old these are. They might have been able to enter kindergarten this year. I kept them in my to-go bag, but honestly I mostly only dragged them out for times I was either feeling too sick or feeling too inebriated to properly stand at a sink and wash my face. I threw out the last few wipes because they dried out, and have since replaced them with the 10-count Sephora wipes.
Elf Lash ‘N Roll Curling & Lifting Mascara in deep brown: this is the second one of these I’ve had, and the wand is not my favorite. It’s a bit pokey for my small-ish eyes. I grabbed it because my favorite mascara (Elf Big Mood in brown) was out of stock at the time. I should have known better. I will have to remind myself to not repurchase, even though it’s cheap.
Chapstick in Rosewater: Chapstick brand lip balms are not my favorite, but they do their job. This one I kind of especially didn’t enjoy because I don’t like rose-scented things. But it’s done and gone and I still have three other lip balm tubes to get through before I even need to buy a new tube of plain lip balm.
Oars + Alps Shine-Free Lip Balm: this was delightful, despite the fact that I’ve had it open for like… two years. It’s clear but a bit minty-fresh (no tingle). For daytime purposes, I have found that I enjoy the look and feel of a matte lip balms. I was a bit sad when it ran out, as this has lived in my purse since the day I got it. As long as it’s still available, I plan to repurchase once I get through my three remaining tubes of plain lip balm.
CANDLES
Huntington Home Strawberry Lemonade: no notes listed. Thankfully this one burned better than its Peach Sangria brethren. Sadly the scent kind of got lost the more times I burned it, and it started smelling more like a crayon than a glass of strawberry lemonade. Would not repurchase.
BBW Daffodil Daydreams: notes are whipped marshmallow, pastel clouds, and sweet daffodil. Absolutely delightful, and even better that I was able to burn it for the week leading up to and on Easter (how seasonally appropriate). This jar is so cute and adorable that I cleaned it out and have kept it as decor for next year—it makes a cute candy dish. Absolutely would repurchase the scent if it ever comes back.
BBW/White Barn in Cypress: notes are bergamot grove, fir needles, and green moss. Again, absolutely delightful and so seasonally appropriate. Smelled fresh and woodsy without being heavy/winterish. The light gray wax against the black minimalistic label was beautiful—it’s a shame they’ve not done this kind of collection again since I bought it in 2023. I have three other scents from this “black label” collection and I’m squirreling them away for a while longer.
@caitbird @itsfi @Mel231 @lmaster thanks all! I am definitely happy with my decision to keep the candle jar for Easter decor 🥰
@Mel231that Elf Lash ‘N Roll is apparently supposed to be a dupe for a Benefit mascara (Rollerlash? I can’t remember the name). I have no clue if the Benefit version is better. I tend to prefer bigger fluffier wands — right now I’m using ColourPop BFF Volumizing and it’s been a good pick so far
@KeriCherryDee great job! That BBW Easter daffodil candle certainly is adorable! I would keep the jar too!
@KeriCherryDee Nice work! I was especially interested in your experience with the Elf mascara. I love brown mascara, and curling mascara, but it sounds like maybe I should skip that one.
@KeriCherryDee, the packaging on that B&BW Easter candle is adorable 😍 and the notes sound fantastic! I would pick up that candle for the jar alone!
@lmaster, nicely done. I was at an event where they applied this TF oil on a few of the attendees and it elicited a lot of interest.
@lmaster, they applied it to anyone who wanted to sample it to the back of our hands. Then one of the reps who was hosting said that she loved using it on special occasions or when going out, for a little sparkle along her collar bone and on her legs. She mentioned a little goes a long way, which I agree, and so you can just apply the product sparingly. But, ummm, her definition of sparingly and mine were ... not the same. 🤣 I think she really just loved the product a lot (which is understadable) because she demonstrated slathering it on her legs. Again, we just had a different understanding of "sparingly." Hahaha!
I forgot I had planned to do quarterly updates on my perfumes. Whoopsie daisy. The comparison photos don’t seem much different, but I’ve been very consistent about reaching for Juliette Has A Gun Magnolia Bliss most days a week when I’m home—the dent is slowly growing! My traveling perfume is Valentino Donna Born In Roma Green Stravaganza and if I squint I think the dent is a smidge bigger. Valentino Donna Born In Roma Intense is still my favorite of the three and I’m not actively working on it, but I’ve pulled it out on some occasions.
@KeriCherryDee Good progress 😀. It’s not easy working on 3 scents is not easy!
@KeriCherryDee Great job! I struggle working on 3 at the same time.
