To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:
Take photos!!When you think you arenโt making a dent in anything look back at those photos, Iโm certain youโll see some changes๐*this is the number one recommendation for everyone, regardless of how long youโve been panning! Those photos add up and can help you realize progress you might otherwise overlook.
If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc.
Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades youโre not fond of).
Have shadows with a ton of fall out?Use water
Watching the progress of othersโ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs. We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
Donโt restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.Itโs more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
Makeup should be funโฆ.if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!Do not force yourself to use up something you donโt like.Move on to something else! (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)
Another one worth to mention is this Hourglass face palette ๐ I started using this from Dec 2022. Need to pan the bronzer and 1 bluish shade but it will be tough ๐
Thx you @mishanyc@Samtian Iโm surprised that tiny amount of powder does last a long time. I pan liked half of the product in the powder pan so it probably takes me at least 8-9 months to finish every bit of the powder. Probably takes me 2 yrs for the blushers lol. ๐๐คฃ
@blackkitty2014 I just had to do a double take. I was like Dec 22 ok so a while ago (thinking 2021), and I was like wait a second ๐ฎ that is some fast panning!!! I really love the bottom pattern of them lol.
Wowza @blackkitty2014! So glad you posted this! So much pan. And more to come - I have complete faith in you. Youโll hit pan on the bronzer and a blush! Itโs just a question of when. ๐
Okie friends, time to report back my progress of first 4 months of 2023.
Lipsticks: I have to part to that TF one. It went rancid. I need another week or so for the PMG balm but just want to include it here so I wonโt have to take a separate picture next week ๐
Base products and misc items:
โDisclaimer: took me about 5 months to finish the Supergoop glow (beginning of Jan) but takes me liked 3 months to finish the matte formula ๐คทโโ๏ธ Theyโve both same size so I donโt quite understand why such a big difference in time frame
@blackkitty2014, thatโs too bad about the Tom Ford lipstick - itโs such a pretty color! Awesome work on the Chanel No 1 foundation and Armani concealer! โฅ๏ธ
@Nahnom Great job! Do you have a different blush you can switch too if you want? I've had others mention to me don't hang on to what you hate, let it go and don't waste that time you could have spent on something you love. It's really helped me a lot.
