I'm in the same position after losing 120 lbs. I am 41 and just started a new skincare regime. I am using The Ordinary line. I use The Buffet daily, and would like to incorporate some retinoid, but I'm a little lost on how to begin a safe regime for my skin.

I’m 60, get complements on my skin- and want to keep it same or better. Anyone been using Rodan & Fields $$$ but want to quit and find alternatives? I do. Have 30-60 days product to finish. My dermatologist told me I can spend less and get higher content of better ingredients. Get rx for retin A instead of retinol. Use vitamin C serum... Suggestions for moisturizers? Do you use a day product and a night? Thought I’d try to buy during sale! Thx

FYI, since I’m looking to reduce my cost of skin care, yet use quality safe products I am going to try Mario Bedescu skincare line, and use an rx for retin A. Anyone using #mariobedescu?

 @Anonymous  Hey there I am only 21 to be honest but I have learned a lot from older women who either work with or are invested in skincare especially anti aging and since no one has replied yet I figured I would help. From what I have been told (by dermatologists) retinol is the only thing proven to boost collagen production and will plump the skin as well as turnover and create new skin cells so that it sags less and lines are less defined. Retinol is a preformed source of vitamin A. Drunk elephant has a great one that is all clean ingredients and non toxic. Not 100% natural but pretty darn close like maybe 80% or more. However if you really want to stick with 100% natural products I would try rosehip oil which some refer to as natures retinol. Vitamin E is also incredibly moisturizing as well as reduces wrinkles over time. Vitamin C is also shown to support the process of collagen restoration.

I deeply appreciate your thoughts and honesty, U have listed  retinal  , Which I don’t have any access to, I’ve looked at Drunk Elephant , Which one Did U Feel is best as the Tube with Red cap was my initial thoughts An Then U mention Rosehip oils , An I’m sorry, I got confused . Ur honesty @ 21 will bring you far in LIFE , An it will Bring me far finding out what I should use. My cleanser had been cetaphil for face , I stopped that as it’s for oily to normal skin An from watching U-Tube videos ( it’s surpose to restore ph balance in skin an my skin got tight ) I immediately stopped using. I’ve so many different questions I’d love to pick ur brain ( so to speak) I have many QVC items an Facial units : NuFACE toner , Dermawand, - I’m feeling there not appropriate for me until I’m using the right cleaner, toner I have Rosewater facial Mist -hydrating Toner 100% natural chemical free no preservatives 100% pure rose Hydrosol ( don’t understand why it’s termed differently) it’s also Alcohol Free.. I have sample A+ Sunday Riley . But 6.5 is hardly Near 80% U spoke of . Ty So much for responding an I am new @ this I hope this finds its way to Uou .
