Concealers

Hey

Ok, so, I 'm big on natural as possible as everyday makeup goes, besides the basics- liner, mascara, concealer/brightener, bronzer, lip liner (the nudist, sephora line) & gloss.

A few years ago I bought the twist pen concealer by sephora and it's great cuz it's lightweight, easy to use and does not settle into lines. BUT I'M RUNNING LOW! And apparently Sephora stopped making this paricular winner.

Suggestions PLEASE for a lightweight good concealer/brightener for a dark blonde late 40s....

Re: Concealers

@Shira40 I really like SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealeriit’s very light weight and I don’t have any issues with it setteling into my fine lines. If I need a bit heavier concealer I like  tarte Maracuja Creaseless Full Coverage Concealer 34H Medium Honey it is a bit heavy but it doesn’t crease at all.

Re: Concealers

Hey @ather

Thanks! I actually have the Bright Future Gel, realized when I saw the pic that I 've been using that as an alternate concealer and yeah, I' ve been pretty ok with it - glad you confirmed it as a good alternative! Really appreciate the response 🙂

RE: Concealers

I would like to recommend BareMinerals full coverage concealer. It works wonders and doesn’t settle into lines! 🙂

Re: RE: Concealers

Duly noted! Thanks for responding! Appreciate it 🙂

RE: Concealers

Hi. I’m 45, fair, freckles, blonde. I also like a more natural makeup look unless I’m going out at night. I’ve been using Bobbi Brown concealer (in the pot, applied with a concealer brush) for years. It’s not heavy and pats in nicely once the warmth from my skin makes it softer and easier to blend. Also, I always set it with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for under eyes. I normally don’t use setting powder on my face because it settles in my fine lines. But this product is definitely different. Super finely milled, you tap a very small amount over your concealer with a flat brush. Keeps your concealer in place ALL DAY without creasing or looking dry. It also brightens the area a bit. The Bobbi concealer with the Laura powder is a GREAT combo - not heavy, very natural looking, pretty.

Thanks! I soo appreciate the tips, will try 🙂

Re: RE: Concealers

Hey everyone!!

I'm so excited to talk to you all...  I am a natural redhead (now blonde) with freckles, blue eyes and dry skin.  My natural hair is reddish but bleached blonde, extremely dry and extremely coarse/thick.

I am beyond impressed with the "Play" Subscription!!! I literally can't think of any quality skincare products I would be able to purchase for more than $10.  I am so excited to get my first box!!

Thank you to everyone at Sephora for creating this affordable program.  I would never be exposed to these quality products without it.

Kindest regards,

-Jayne Philpott

Re: Concealers

The most lightweight concealer I've found is the FAB avocado bendy concealer. It feels like nothing on the skin and it gives a very nice, natural finish. The only problems I've had with it is it doesn't provide enough coverage for my dark circles and it does crease quite a bit under my eyes, however I do have very dark circles and also never set my under-eye so everything creases haha. Aside from that, I recently tried out the nars radiant creamy concealer for the first time and I can't believe it took me this long to try it out because I love it, no complaints, its the perfect amount of coverage, lightweight, beautiful finish. Definitely not as "no makeup look" as the FAB one but that's just a preference thing.

RE: Concealers

My favorite Concealer is It Cosmetics Bye Bye. It’s thick, but that is good for me (I have very dark circles thanks to my Eastern European heritage) The secret to all concealers is moisturize immediately before.

Re: RE: Concealers

Totally need to always use lightweight moisturizer pre-makeup!

Thanks!

@SportyGirly125

The Guerlain pen sounds good, also I love the ease of the pen, similar to the Sephora one I was originally using.

Thanks SO much!

Re: Concealers

@Shira40 No problem.  I hope the Guerlain one works for you.
