GUYSSS PLEASE HELP i used the panoxyl 10% benzoyl peroxide acne wash for like 2 days then my face got completely BUMPY!! idk if its an allergic reaction or what im so confused and idk how to treat it 😿

Re: unknown face bumps

Hi here's a simple way to help with your reaction:Stop Using the Product: Stop using the PanOxyl 10%benzoyl peroxide wash right away to avoid more irritation.Gently Cleanse Your Face: Use a mild, gentle cleanser that doesn’t have strong fragrances or irritating ingredients.Use Cool, Fresh Water: Rinse your face with cool, fresh water to help soothe your skin and calm irritation. Pat your skin dry with a clean, soft towel instead of rubbing.Apply a Moisturizer: After washing, use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to help protect and restore your skin.Avoid Irritants: Avoid using other products that might irritate your skin, like exfoliants or those with alcohol, until your skin feels better.Use a Cold Compress: A clean, cool compress can help reduce redness and swelling.Consider Over-the-Counter Hydrocortisone: A mild hydrocortisone cream can reduce inflammation. Use it carefully and follow the directions.

thank you lovely ❤️

Re: unknown face bumps

it takes up to 12 weeks for Benzoyl Peroxide to work and the first week there is side affects SO yeah that is probably why

Re: unknown face bumps

@hiimana  Sorry you’re dealing with this right now. Some people’s skin is sensitive to benzoyl peroxide, especially at 10% strength. Lots of bumps are a fairly common side effect. If your bumps aren’t itchy and you’re not swelling anywhere (eyelids, for instance), then it’s not a true allergic reaction, thank goodness. It’s just a sensitivity reaction.

I don’t recommend using any exfoliants (AHA, BHA, PHA, etc.) on your skin while it’s in this state. Exfoliating your skin right now can worsen the damage. All you need to do is roll your skincare routine back to basics: gentle non-drying cleanser, a good moisturizer, and sunscreen during daylight hours. Stop using benzoyl peroxide of course, but also temporarily stop any strong actives you might usually use (ascorbic acid/vitamin C serum, retinol, exfoliants, etc.). For now, you want to baby your skin until those bumps calm down. Wash with tepid/lukewarm water, not hot or cold water. You may find a cold compress a few times a week is helpful to reduce inflammation: just wet a washcloth in cool (not ice cold) water and lay it on your face for 5-15 minutes.

If the bumps won’t go away or start itching within, oh, 3-4 weeks, consult your primary care doctor or a dermatologist if you can.

Probably shouldn’t be using Paula’s choice with your skin.

Re: unknown face bumps

Honestly that much  Panoxly can affect- or maybe harm- the skin, Something that strong should be used once a week

Re: unknown face bumps
