DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

Hello!

I am looking for a new skincare routine and unsure if I should try the DRUNK ELEPHANT Day/Night sets or the SUNDAY RILEY New School Skincare Set (As they no longer sell Squad Goals) as I've heard amazing stuff for both. I am still a newbie and currently using a Korean skincare but I seem to keep breaking out now that I am older and almost done with it.

My skin is sensitive, dry, now ACNE prone, blemish/hyper-pigmentation spots and uneven skintone. Also I am turning 30 and want some anti-wrinkle skincare added to my routine. can anyone recommend on past experience, which one will help me the most!

Thanks in advance!

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

Hey Everyone,

I have recently switched over to the drunk elephant product line (bought their mini day/night) kit. I was wondering - is it safe to use the C Serum and night time Glycolic acid serum along with the Good Genes? Or will they counter act each other and not be effective?

Any advice?

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

I emailed Sunday Riley and asked for a personalized regimen with all of the products I had purchased at the VIB sale. This is for anti aging , dryness, mild acne and dullness. My skin is very thick and can handle quite a bit of active ingredients. According to all of these products PH levels, the regimen makes sense to me. Only other things I use are baby facial, Saturn, and purity pore extractor.

This wont work for everyone, it's just what they designed for me. They're amazing and I highly recommend reaching out to home personally for specific concerns (:

AM:
1-cleanse with Ceramic Slip
2-Press on Fresh Kombucha essence
3-apply a thin layer of Good Genes ( you can alternate UFO in this step if your experiencing breakouts, then you would use good genes at night after Luna)
4-apply a thin layer of CEO Rapid Flash brightening serum
5-Drunk Elephant B hyrda
6-apply your Tidal
7-You can massage 2-3 drops of Juno on to your skin after you apply your moisturizer.
8- finish off with your favorite SPF and Eye cream or Auto Correct

PM:
1- cleanse with Ceramic Slip
2-use your Fresh deep hydrating toner
3-warm 2-3 drops of Luna on your finger tips and massage in to the skin
4-apply a thin layer of Good Genes ( you can use Good genes twice a day, however if you use UFO in the morning, you can use Good Genes at night, if you use Good Genes in the morning, hold off using it at night to start off)
Or Use Drunk Elephant Glycolic serum( if you use glycolic, skip your luna)
5-apply your CEO Moisturizer (Add Juno if you want added moisture)
6-apply your eye cream or Auto Correct

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

@Jengarcia87 100% Sunday Riley. I have very similar skin, as does my sister. I had horrible acne, and large pores, uneven tone and even some scaring. I also, have dry skin. Or should say had.

I use Ceramic Slip or the Boscia detox cleanser. For my serum at night I use the UFO, it's so much more hydrating than the other acne treatments and then I follow with good genes. During the day I will sometimes just use good genes and other times I will mix a drop or two of UFO into my Armani foundation.

My skin has gotten so much better. I feel like I have better skin now then ever in my life.

Get the Sunday kit, but also pick up the 15ml size of the UFO oil. I hear they are launching more acne stuff this year and an acne kit. I

I hated drunk elephant, as did my sister and move. It destroyed their skin and caused little bumps all over. I would never recommend drunk elephant over Sunday Riley, it's not even a question- Sunday Riley is the best! I heard their new vitamin c serum is better than drunk elephants- much more hydrating.

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

I've been wanting to try the Boscia cleanser but was unsure as I'm afraid it will irritate my skin.. Got a sample and trying it once it arrives. And I will definitely try the UFO, was also recommended by a Sephora employee, thanks for the tips!!

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

Drunk Elephant for sure.  Sunday Riley really only has one product that is popular and that's good genes, which made me turn bright red.  Every single Drunk Elephant product is a winner.  My skin has changed drastically since using the line and I have to disagree with the above comment that says look for products from different lines.  Go straight Drunk Elephant, you won't be sorry you did.

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

I absolutely love Drunk Elephant, especially their B-Hydra Gel.

Sunday Riley's Good Genes is also a staple in my regime at night!

Rather than focussing on brands, focus on products your skin needs/will benefit from. Sometimes individuals products will be more effective than kits.

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

@immichaeld Thank You! That makes absolute sense! I do hear people raving about the B-Hydra Gel, will definitely try! I'm curios, what else do you use for both your day/night regime?

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

I love both brands and generally get the Good Genes from SR and C-Firma from DE.

BTW Dermstore is having a really good 20% off sale right now and both brands are included!

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

I did not know Dermstore carried Sunday Riley! Thanks for the tip!

Re: DRUNK ELEPHANT OR SUNDAY RILEY?

Hi @Jengarcia87,

I suggest the Drunk Elephant nightbright set. A lot of clients say that the serum helps with their acne and blemishes leaving your skin with a smooth, even finish. The Facial Oil is very hydrating and will give your skin a healthy glow.

To address the anti-wrinkle skincare I suggest the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads. These pads help tighten pores and soften the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone.

I hope this helps!

Best Wishes,

Janean
