Ok so I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I've also been wanting to start a "random thoughts" thread...but I figured I'd separate the categories so that at least the "beauty" one is on the front page, rather than hidden in off topic. So, have a beauty-related thought but don't think it's worth starting a thread about ? Post it here !
today I got a facial at an extraordinarily nice spa. A real treat. And the results were immediate and truly great. But guys: she pulled out a clarisonic and a foamy cleanser for that first initial cleanse, and I nearly had a heart attack. Great for a lot of people but most of you know how I feel about those things !!!!!! Overall, as I said, it was great and my skin is happy. But sheesh.

RANDOM BEAUTY FACTS ABOUT YOU THREAD !

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this. It's so epically annoying when your eyes are messed up.
Hot compresses and a Benedryl might help.
Thank you for understanding! Soooo true.
I will do the warm compresses and I took some Benadryl this morning! I've bothered enough but hey I couldn't help but ask!
i also use pure vitamin e to cure my lips, it works wonders but it can irritate some people so try a little at first. plain cocoa butter and also vaseline are good skin protectants and will help with the cut/cracking. definitely avoid any chapsticks with menthol, phenol or camphor oil in them, they'll dry your lips out. avoid ones with fragrance too.
Tried using a solid bar soap (Dial) for cleaning my beauty blender and brushes....
OMG!!
So much more effective and quick! Best of all, no suds to rinse out. I'll be using this method for cleaning my bb/brushes from now on.
Synthetic brushes or natural hair?
I believe I have actually have a mix. I haven't noticed any changes in my brushes.
Dial is fairly harsh, you'll want to condition any natural hair brushes at least every other wash. Natural hair will dry from soap over time, becoming brittle and breaking.
Try pure Vitamin e! It is the best thing for healing your skin. You can get a small bottle from Trader Joes for $4. Or try Vaseline because it will form a stronger barrier between your lips and the elements so it will have a chance to heal.
I had this happen to me around November. All you can do is slather it with ointments. I like blistex because it's "medicated." I don't know with what or for what, but "medicated" sounds good. 😄
Blistex is the best. I should own stock in it haha
I was going to suggest blistex as well!
Not sure where to say this or if it's been said already. I went to a SiJCP this weekend and they already have the Pantone palette on clearance for 19.50. I have a major addiction to eyeshadow. It was very hard saying no, but I'm super proud to say it didn't come home with me.
I just have to share this! This is so amazing! The make up artist is Maria Malone Guerbaa.
"Make-up artist Maria Malone-Guerbaa doesn't use prosthetics or special effects, and relies only on brushes and paints to form her looks."
wow!
So Grease Live just got over with, does anyone have any guesses as to what lipstick Frenchie was wearing the the Beauty School Drop Out number? It reminded me of Doll Parts by JS.
Just popping in to say hi, everyone is as beautiful as ever, and I miss y'all! I've been MIA for a few days and probably will be until I find a new job because I'm driving for Lyft as much as possible to replace some of my lost income, ergo hardly ever online. I hope to be back more regularly soon and hope everyone is doing well!
❤️
We miss you!
**Hugs** And hope you get what you wanted very soon. Good Luck!
Glad to see you!!
Been missing you! But I can understand why you've been absent. I hope everything works out soon for you! Take care!
