Self-Care Month kicks off on June 24, right on the heels of the summer solstice (June 20), but we don't have to wait until then to kickstart (or kick up) our wellness efforts. Whether you already have a solid self-care routine you engage in consistently, or you're dipping your toes into self-care for the first time, or you're stuck in a rut & looking for a refresh on your way to wellness, welcome!! 😀
What Is This About?:
Simply put, it's about focusing on our personal wellness, in a fun way à la the bingo card, with a few adjustments to the traditional bingo rules.
How To Play/Participate:
Work towards completing the activities on the bingo card during the month, taking into account where you are personally on your wellness journey & what will serve you best as you care for yourself. You may want to complete several of the activities in one week, or none at all. The next week may include checking off one square or taking the free space. You may find an activity to be something you want to hone in on and work on little by little, for a week or the whole month.
Do what you can when you can as you can. Make adjustments as needed. Remember, we're all in different places and spaces - physically, mentally, environmentally. Please tailor the activities to meet those places and spaces, including doing things incrementally, starting out slowly, bit by bit, and building up gradually from there, if and as needed.
We love hearing about how everyone goes about these monthly wellness bingo activities. If you're up for it, feel free (but not obligated) to share what activity / activities you've undertaken, what has worked for you - it can be once a month, once every other week, every 7-10 days, etc. It can include photos, or be as quick and easy as hitting "Reply" at the bottom left to this original post, sharing your activities, and then clicking "Post".

The LED masks forces me to stretch, because I never liked counting seconds while holding a stretch or pose. Once the mask is off, I'm like..."Cool, I did it."

Last month I got tooo busy but this month I am all in!!
Seasonal fruit and veggies! Summer is my fav! Where I live there’s is not many seasonal fruits and vegetables in the winter but the summer we have all the things! I made some yogurt bowls with blueberries and raspberry in it and I have been eating lots of Greek salads! Yum! 😋
Summer stroll we decided to get Pokémon go a try and we went on a family stroll to catch some Pokémon’s! Was the stroll long. No. But did we get outside. Yes!!
exercise! We went on a little hike yesterday and explored some trails in a near by Forrest! There was a fire in the area a week ago and we stumbled upon where the fire had been.
Limit screen time! I have been so good at this one. I have barely been on my screens lately. Trying to soak up all the family time!
Have a healthy meal it was a busy day and my fav meal is chicken and Caesar salad! Yum! 😋
Quality time with loved ones. We had a slow Sunday and played some sequence. It was so fun! We also played a game of skipbo!
stay hydrated. I bought a knock off Stanley because I didn’t think I would enjoy it. But I am drinking so much more water since I bought it. Definitely helps keep me hydrated!
Arts and crafts! This one is always easy for me but I have taken up macrame and I finished a bigger piece last night!

Hmm I think Greek salads are my fav! I had a chicken salad with golden Italian and it was yummy. I also like a cucumber tomato and pepper salad with just salt and pepper! Yum!
Hmmm how do I locate the pogo codes? I don’t actually play. My husband and son do. I walk with them as they catch the Pokémon’s.

@ather, your macrame is beautiful. 😍 Mmmmm, yogurt bowls - I haven't tried the blueberries and raspberries combination (I know, where have I been?!) but am making a note to try it this summer. Oh my goodness, I used to have Pokemon Go on my phone - I probably still have it but haven't played it in so long.

Their excitement is so fun to see @ather! I only keep it on my phone for kiddoes; I first had it on my phone when some of my younger cousins were visiting and I was watching them while the parents went out. Then there was a period where I played some and then back to just as an option for if I'm watching little ones and they get bored if we're just walking around - walking for the sake of walking isn't as fun for a kid as for adults, lol.

First week of June down but no bingos.
exercise outdoors - went for two hikes this week. Friday was a little scary as the skies darkened but we got down off the mountain before the storms rolled in.
Create arts, crafts hobby - took photos of one of my favorite subjects, moose. Working on getting a sharper image, I am getting close
Summer stroll - i walked on the other days I didn't hike. Summer hasn't caught on here yet but still calling it a summer stroll.
Quality time with loved ones - spent Sunday with some of my favorite people and their dogs
Digital Detox- this is my new must have every day. Thanks @itsfi for making this a square a few months ago. It has made a big difference in the time it takes me to fall asleep.
Intellectual wellness - i start my day with NY Times games: Wordle, Connections , and Strands. I am not always successful but these games make me think.
Awesome job with or without bingo @CorgiMommy ! Digital Detox is definitely one i need to practice (says me after 10pm) its two 🐦 🐦⬛ one 🪨 prioritizing sleep!
