Show & Tell: National Fragrance Day

It’s National Fragrance Day! (Yes, that’s a real thing, I swear.)

Here at Sephora HQ, we like to call fragrance our “liquid courage,” because one spritz of the right juice can make you feel like you can take on the world.

So today’s installment of Show & Tell is dedicated to terrific top notes.

• What fragrance are you wearing today?
• Where do you like to apply fragrance?
• How many fragrances do you own?
• Do you change your fragrance with the seasons or do you have a signature scent?
• What fragrance family do you gravitate toward?
   Floral
   Warm & Spicy
   Fresh
   Woody & Earthy

Post your answers in the comments below, then upload a photo of your fragrance stash!

Re: Show & Tell: National Fragrance Day

Currently I'm wearing Diesel's Loverdose.  Usually I'll change base notes of underlying scents with the seasons, but mostly I go by sunny/cloudy/special event, tend to put some on my wrists and neck, and I switch between 3 different scents.  I'd have more but I'm INCREDIBLY picky.  I tend to gravitate toward floral yet sweet scents, sometimes spicy if it's moderate.

My fiance's been looking at scents for himself, so far he likes Diesel's Only the Brave (he LOVES Diesel stuff), but I got him a sample of that Paco Rabanne One Million.  AND OMG he put it on, and I couldn't seem to get my nose off of him XD  Normally I'm pretty neutral on most men's scents, but this one is a sniffer magnet >.>

Re: Show & Tell: National Fragrance Day

Today I am wearing Givenchy's Ange Ou Demon Le Secret, it's my second bottle of the scent!

I like to apply fragrance on the inside of my wrists, bend of the inside of my elbows, side of my neck near the underside of my ear, and behind my knees if I'm wearing shorts, a skirt, or a dress.

Gosh, to count the fragrances I own....over 15...at the bare minimum. Working in the beauty industry has really stocked me up!

I don't really go by seasons in terms of switching up scents, I just pick to suite my mood, for the past year and half I've strongly favored Issey Miyake's Floral, it's very different from other scents I have which are more gourmand/amber based scents, but once I tried it, I fell in love. I used it quite often around the time my boyfriend and I started dating and he would always compliment the scent so it gave me extra incentive to stick with it more. I'm on bottle number 3, and that's from going to the 1.7, to 3.3, to 1 oz bottles!

I generally tend to gravitate toward sweet, gourmand scents, but don't like ones that are strictly vanilla or sugary smelling. If it's a floral, I prefer either crisp scents like lily or lighter touches of rose rather than scents like sweet pea, which is just too much for me. Most of the scents I own have a rich, amber base to them. I like how warm they stay and they generally last longer.

On a side note, I'm totally guilty of sporting a few men's fragrances from time to time. I'm a lover of Gucci Guilty (hello, Chris Evans!) and Chanel's Allure. 🙂
