Setting powders?

Hey y'all!! What's a good setting powder to use that will not leave a white cast/flash back on photos?

RE: Setting powders?

Laura Mercia, RMCA (only $12 on Beautylish), Too Faced Born this way Powder.. I also want to try the new Peaches Powder by Too Faced ( hear it’s great for oily skin)

Re: Setting powders?

I really love the NARS Translucent Crystal Light Reflecting Setting Powder. It is actually transparent, doesn't leave a cast/flashback, and comes in two forms depending on what you prefer-- I use the pressed version myself since I find it more convenient and less messy, but a lot of people do like loose powders. It also has a very slight finishing powder-like effect, in that it does perfect and blur your skin a little bit.

RE: Setting powders?

I use kabuki and swirl in cap and tap excess off use in upward motion circular from chin up cheeks up in way of make up appliqué fore head after upward of temples then use a very fluffy large soft blush brush and use the tapped of excess to do a once over--I've always shied away from any setting powders finishing powders anything powders anything that covers makeup but it's proven so fine I can say it doesn't change the look or make it look less than initial application it's like a fairy dust that sets your make up i ran out of supergoop and cools setting spray so....had no choice needed a setter and it failed to disappoint now trying different brands hope this helps 😊

RE: Setting powders?

By the way no cast in photos I use NAKED from naked cosmetics from direct website not on Sephora even though products are, it's reasonable at 14.99 and you get a descent size and need so little made for MUAs and pros to avoid cast in photos--again hope this helps like fairy dust 🎐

Laura mercier translucent powder or KvD lock it setting translucent setting powder

Re: Setting powders?

Hi! Bye Bye Pores from It Cosmetics is absolutely amazing! I prefer the loose translucent powder, but the pressed works equally well. It sets my makeup (I use It Cosmetics for that as well), and gives my face a matte finish without changing the color of my makeup, and sets my makeup for the entire day!

Re: Setting powders?

What do you use to put the powder on? I know It Cosmetics recommends their brush but I was wondering if you had another recommendation

I absolutely love Bye Bye Pores by IT COSMETICS! Great for photos!

RE: Setting powders?

Laura Mercier transluscent setting powder is awesome! I am so happy with my purchase. I don't have oily skin but T zones get shiny so I use just a little bit to keep t zone dry. Little amount was very effective!!

Thank you for the suggestion! 😊
