Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

Monthly Faves: August 2025!Monthly Faves: August 2025!

Happy August, BIC! Since I’ve spent most of my summer keeping my beauty routine pretty low-maintenance, I feel like I’m going back to school trying to re-learn how to do liquid eyeliner and powder bronzer again. 😅 Now that we’ve been going back to the office after a relaxing “work-from-anywhere July,” it feels kind of comforting sinking back into my morning get-ready routine (paired with a big cup of coffee, of course) and adding some finishing makeup touches I might not have spent the same time on when dialing in from home. 😇

Here are some of my August favorites, some new, some tried-and-true!

It’s your turn, Community! Use the reply button below to share your own August faves! Be sure to tag any products you mention with the “#” symbol (hair, makeup, fragrance, wellness, skincare, etc.)!

@AlexBT love seeing your favorites!!

Salt and stone deodorant Saffron & Cedar

Marc Jacobs Bronzer

Rare beauty perfume

Huda beauty lip contour stain warm brown

LANEIGE Glaze Craze Tinted Polypeptide Lip Serum Treatment Raspberry Jam - Sheer Red

Gisou Honey Infused Hydrating Lip Oil Strawberry Sorbet

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

@lmaster Love these faves, too! I'm really into the Laneige Glaze Craze lippies -- the red one sounds so pretty! I'll have to try it.

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

The chocolate eyeliner from Too Faced sounds soooo lovely @AlexBT, I bet it wears beautifully. 😍 I'm drawn to the brown shades for more natural looks lately too, I think that's why Lancôme Lash Idôle Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara in thier beautiful brown shade has been a staple for me this month.

For fresh and simple (and quick👌looks this month I have been relying on these handy little pick me ups.

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer .24 oz/ 7g

DIOR Forever Glow Maximizer Longwear Liquid Highlighter 017 Nude

Clarins Nude Water Lip Stain ( I couldn't get it to tag 🩵)

The nude highlighter from D'ior is an absolutely beautiful shade, I love how little I need to get the job done. It's nice to get a touch of glow on a simple look to give it that little something extra. 💖

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

@CynthieLu Beautiful faves! My friend recently asked me about the Clarins lip stains, too -- specifically the shade you have! Do I need it? Lol. The Dior highlight is also calling my name!

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

I do love this one @AlexBT. This specific shade makes me feel like I have a little something on without it being too obvious. Like did she wake up this way? vibes. I find this formula is thinner than my HG tint's from Fenty ( like Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain Mai Type ) so I have to be a bit more careful when I apply it.  But this one from Clarins fits in with the natural looks I've been gravitating too so it's a definite try in store if you can. 👌

Gosh, the highlighter is fabulous, when you need to spoil yourself it's a good way to go. 😉

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

Beautiful makeup, @CynthieLu! The Dior nude highlight sounds gorgeous!

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

Thank you @curlychiquita 😄 The Dior nude highlighter is a little gem, it's really so pretty on! 😍

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

I like the Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer .  I don't wear much makeup in the summer but come the fall I will be adding it to my routine.  Great favorites @CynthieLu

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

August faves were mostly from products I introduced into my rotation this year, but there's also a tried-and-true that has made a monthly favorites list in past years @AlexBT.
August 2025 Monthly FavesAugust 2025 Monthly Faves

AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 Cooling Hydro Soothing Gel-Cream Moisturizer with Ceramides for Skin Moisture ... has the right consistency and ingredients to keep my dehydrated and sensitive skin calm and hydrated in the warmer, summer months. I'll switch to something heavier soon enough but this will keep my skin happy through our late summer in the Bay

HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Triclone Skin Tech Hydrating + De-puffing Concealer with Fermented Arnica has done some heavy lifting over the years - it brightens and blurs; works as well for the under eyes as it does for concealing blemishes and redness, all without leaving my skin feeling dry or tight. It's made the monthly faves list in previous years and I just recently purchased another tube as I'm scraping the sides of the current one to get out every last bit that I can.

Valentino Donna Born in Roma Yellow Dream Eau de Parfum with Rose & Italian Lemon has been a lovely spring/summer fragrance - a light, fresh, citrusy-floral that has a surprisingly long wear on its own and paired with other scents. We have late summers here so this one will stay in my purse through parts of September as well.

Laneige Neo Blurring Powder is one of those products that took some time to grow on me and that I've learned how to best use for my skin type. I purchased this at the very beginning of the year but it's better suited to my skin in warmer seasons or climates. I've used this on vacation and took it with me to some trips to wine country, including a recent one when I needed my makeup to stay put all afternoon. And stay put it did, and with that pretty soft blur finish. I didn't even need to touch up.

Rhode Lemontini Peptide Lip Tint (limited edition) has soft, pretty gold shimmer that looks lovely over lipstick or on bare lips, and smells like sugar dusted lemon slices.

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Eeeee I can't wait for the Rhode launch tomorrow! I'm behind on building my basket... but I know at least one peptide lip tint is in the cards for me!

We recently got the AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 Cream Moisturizer with Ceramides & Niacinamide for Skin Moisture Barrier Repai... in our employee gratis box and it's really nice! It melts into the skin so seamlessly. The cooling one sounds incredible -- I'll have to try that next.

Thanks for sharing your faves!

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

I'm excited too @AlexBT. I need to do a stock check of my stash 😅 to make sure I'm not missing something I really need want 😂. I'm behind on getting my reviews up 😞 c'mon itsfi, you can do it!!

Ooooh, I've heard really good things about that Aestura Cream - it'll be better for the colder season, the cooling one is better suited for warmer weather, for me, at least. I have a sample of it, to compare it with Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Skin Barrier Moisturizing Cream and speaking of Rhode, the Rhode Barrier Butter (not the one swatched below) which is my fave nighttime moisturizer for fall/winter.

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

@itsfi ,

I love your choices here!  😊

I just purchased the Valentino Donna Born in Roma Green Stravaganza cologne after trying the sample from Sephora.

I'm looking forward to the addition of rhode to Sephora.

I wish that Sephora would include the Lemontini Peptide Lip Tint, but it doesn't look like it will happen soon, as you have said.

I will need to purchase Lemontini from the rhode site.

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

@tsavorite, Valentino Green Stravaganza is a lovely fragrance; I didn't know how the addition of such a stronger black tea with the jasmine and vanilla would work but they all play very nicely together. The variations in the Born in Roma series are all distinct, which is really nice.

I don't know the particulars but I suspect timing and inventory play a big factor in lemontini not being part of the Rhode launch at Sephora - it was released as a limited edition product just for the summer. That said, she (Hailey Bieber) has been known to make several previously limited edition products part of her permanent collection - a couple of those previously LE items are coming to Sephora as part of the permanent line. So, there's a possibiltity lemontini could find its way into the permanent collection at some point.

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

Sugar dusted lemon slices sounds like a dream, @itsfi!

Re: Monthly Favorites: August 2025 Edition!

Thank you @curlychiquita. I probably could have just said candied lemons but the wordsmith in me liked sugar dusted lemon slices more. 😉  💛🍋
