Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

Monthly Faves: April 2025!Monthly Faves: April 2025!

Hiya, BIC! I hope spring shopping szn has been treating you well. 🌷🛍 It’s been busy over here at Sephora HQ – but don’t worry, I’ve still found time to walk over to the closest Sephora store on my lunch break to swatch all the latest beauty goodies IRL. Me? Obsessed? Yes, yes I am.

Even with all the fun store newness and Sephora Savings Event hauls to keep me entertained here on the BIC and on social, I found myself reaching more for my existing collection this month – and my April faves reflect that! Hydrated, sun-shielded skin, a simple slick-back, and a fool-proof blush have been the keys to my low-maintenance spring look. (Don’t ask me why it still takes me so long to get ready, though).

Here are some of my trusty April favorites:

Thank you so very much 🥰  @CynthieLu

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@lmaster  great faves! It seems like everyone is loving the new Milk Makeup skin tint - I may have been influenced into picking it up myself 😅 so I'm excited to try it out when it gets here! Also tempted by the Morphe blush palette after seeing your swatches, but I just inventoried my blushes and ya girl has literally like 50, so 😳...trying to stay strong (for now) 😂

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@caitbird thank you lovely!! I know,  I get it,  stay strong 💪

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@lmaster Such cute faves! 💞 Lots of love for that Milk tint - maybe I'll try scooping up a sample in store (more "lunch break" things LOL). Is that one of the new Dior lip oil shades??

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

Yes yes!! @AlexBT @danielledanielle definitely influenced that one

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

Luxe & Lunch @AlexBT !

Happy Color = Happy @lmaster !

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@lmaster Great choices! I love that skin tint, and I really want to try to morphe blush after I saw your posts wearing it!

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

Thank you gorgeous!! @PrettyPaint 😘

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

A little late for the April favorites; apologies for the delay - it's been a very full April with guests in town, deadlines, events, travel, and just life. Whether I've been home or away though, these beauties have been go-to's for me this month. Love the bejeweled and stylized A on that PTR lid, @AlexBT😍

Kérastase Elixir Ultime Refillable Hydrating Hair Oil  (gratis, thank you @TeamBIC) has been one of my top hair oils, but it's really come through this month. I did something different with my hair and, as is typical with the process, my hair can be a little more dry and frizzy. The Kerastase is lightweight and effective at making my hair look and feel smoothier, silkier, shinier, less frizzy and healthy.

ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr On 'Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray has been raved about by many, including a couple of BIC beauties from last year and this year's Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025. I wore it on a couple of flights this month and my makeup held strong. @heartsmyface @danielledanielle

The hype around MILK MAKEUP Hydro Grip 12-Hour Hydrating Gel Skin Tint is real; I received a couple of samples after being color matched last month in preparation for the spring savings event. It's a beautiful, light-to-medium tint with a dewy and lightly hydrating finish. Have been loving this one all month.

Summer Fridays ShadeDrops Mineral Milk Sunscreen SPF 30 1.7 oz / 50 mL is and continues to be one of my favorite SPFs - easily in the top 5 - it's lightweight and has a thinner but not overly runny consistency, plays well under makeup, and gives me sun protection.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Mini Supplement Case is excellent for traveling as well as for keeping in my purse for daily use.

These flat hair clips are phenomenal. I've been using them for a few months and love how gentle they are on my scalp as they hold up my hair / updo's. 👍

Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment has been a love since it launched; I enjoy both the tinted and untinted versions. This one pictured is unscented but the newest launch of PBJ (posted on the Rhode Beauty thread) is a gorgeous hue.

As a general favorite beauty category, I have been enjoying blush this month. I'm not really a blush girl, so that is saying a lot, as does all the blushers I purchased last month and this month. Lots of brands have been releasing some wonderful formulation and shades, at various price points. It's been so much fun (and educational, as well as, let's face it, enabling!) to see the looks some of the BIC Beauties are creating and sharing on the Spring Cheek Challenge 2025: Style Awakening thread.

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

Phenomenon faves! Well I'm definitely going to have to check out Milks Gel Skin Tint in store after reading through your post @itsfi. I absolutely love Danessa Myrick's tint so I'm feeling curious to see how this compares to it. I hope May is just as fun but a little less busy for you. 🩷

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Ahhh I've been eyeing one of those flat claw clips! Today's dentist appointment was not fun with my giant regular claw clip. I need to get on your level 🤣

Also a big fan of the One Size spray over here! 🙋‍ Still working through my jumbo version I bought during the holidays... not sure I'm brave enough for the glitter version, though!

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

Eek, a dentist appointment. 😬 Ohhh, with a traditional claw clip, oh, ouch. 😣 Highly, highly recommend these flat claw clips @AlexBT! It stays nicely in place on top of my head or lower down towards the back, keeps my hair in place, etc. I've even dozed off with it on and not had an issue when I've gotten up. I mean, that's not ideal, of course, but my head wasn't in pain.

That was an excellent choice to go with the jumbo size. Oh, that glitter version is like a glitter bomb. One of the lovely folks in store was showing it off and sprayed the back of my hand with it - it's a lot of glitter. A LOT!!! 😅

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Such great products! I especially love the Milk, Rhode, and the Kerastase (that was such an incredible gratis). Where did you find those flat clips? Sometimes the clips I wear hurt my head by the end of the day.

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

💯 @PrettyPaint! That hair oil is wonderful! I started on BT/BIC with zero hair oils and now I’ve tried several. I have to say though that this Kerastase is in the top 5 for me. 👍🏼

These flat hair clips are fabulous! My intro to them was from a local boutique but I found others through Amazon. Kitsch and Lemme (both at Ulta) also have similar clips in their product line. I wore these all day and it doesn’t hurt my scalp. It also makes it less likely I’ll hurt myself when I lean back and forget I gave on a clip. Ouch!

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Those clips sound perfect. I often exercise with a clip in my hair, and it hurts when I'm doing exercises where I have to lie down. The Kerastase hair oil is definitely a good one, and the bottle seems like it will last forever!

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@PrettyPaint, I haven't tested these clips while doing full on cardio, but for doing something that requires you to lie down (like yoga, pilates, stretching, doing sit ups, etc.), they should be fine - and a lot more gentle on your scalp and head than a traditional claw clip.

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Yay! That sounds great. Sometimes clips even get in the way while driving, so I'm excited to try this style.

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

I hope these work out for you @PrettyPaint; they come in different sizes too, which is nice. I'll be interested in your take on this style if you decide to pick one up.

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

Wow! @itsfi  This picture is beautiful! 😍 I see so many good items here! Rhode peptide lip treatment is so good. 😊 it’s definitely always a favourite! I’ll have to check out the Rhode thread to check out the PB hue!! I need to try that Milk tint. It sounds so good! I hope May settle down for you!

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

The MILK has a lot more coverage than a skin tint, more than the Tower 28 SunnyDays skin tint. I feel like I can have both; I’m pretty generous with myself for how many skin tints would be ideal in my collection 😂

Ahhh, thank you @ather! That’s good of you to say. 🤗 The month of May should be more low key, at least if I have my way. Lol. Going to spend time focusing on enjoying the sun when it comes out, with SPF of course 😉 - gonna put the weighted vest you inspired me to get, to use and work on some things, including my photo taking skills and check off some to-do’s from my self-care / wellness list.

Re: Monthly Favorites: April 2025 Edition!

I almost got the Kosas but wasn't sure which shade, thanks! How much does it transfer to your phone or does it, 😁? What setting spray would you recommend to keep it in place? @AlexBT
