@k617 - Thanks!

RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

Got mine! 💕

RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I went to my local store and asked if I could do a reading. The staff was nice, but she didn’t even show me the actual readings, just said my face was well hydrated, and when I asked her if I was oily skin or combination, she asked me if I feel oily in my T-zone...I thought the tester is supposed to tell u that instead of relying on what I thought? I went to the cashier and asked for the free mask. She was a little bit surprised and gave me one ( they have two boxes of masks prepared for the day, and the boxes were full), I don’t know why she looked surprised.

Re: RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

Maybe the consultant thought that you only wanted to know if you're hydrated well enough, so I would've asked if they didn't provide me a number though, and maybe the cashier underestimated their customers it seems~

This is the best comment ever! This is what I always think when I get a rude stingy SA. Treats me like I was just wasting her time everytime I ask a question about a promo or a new product just because I came to the store without makeup on and I was only wearing workout clothes.

I guess...YAH!!!

RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I went today to my SiJCP and the first thing that I was told was about this promotion. She only tested me in one area (which I’m kind of glad that she tested in my cheek area cause it’s my most oily area) and then she gave me the free face mask. I got 62 which I was told that it was good and that I was well hydrated. The associate who was helping me out did take me to the face masks and told me about the pearl one and rose one which she didn’t recommend for my skin type so I ended up getting the pearl mask. I can’t wait to try it out! I do hope there are more promos like this in the future!

Wow your skin hydration must be so good that she couldn't think of any products to recommend to you! Wish I had normal skin~

Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

so if I walk into the Eastwood mall they will give me a free dark mask?!?!

Re: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I just went in and did this over lunch hour, I didn't get a free face mask (prefer the ones I already use) but I know I could've asked for it. They just weren't giving them out automatically, which was weird considering that it was advertised!

I was told my skin was 46 on cheeks, and about 50-55 on my forehead and nose. I was surprised my nose isn't classified as oily. I guess I'm "normal" all over now!

I was also misinformed about the moisture levels... she told me that 0-40 was dry, 40-70 is normal, and 70-80 is "moist" and that's what I should be aiming for. I was confused... does that mean...my skin is NOT moist enough?

Came back and did some research on the readings. Turns out, 70 and higher means oily...the associate doing the test was nice but seemed a little misinformed!

Re: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

The meter says 70 to 99 is moist. That is probably what she meant. Those Pantone meters at Sephora do not work though. In back to back readings, they give different numbers. I have a MiLi that works wonderfully and gives the same number in back to back readings almost every single time.

Re: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I am chuckling that this is a thing.  I thought these meters were only used for damp basements, lol, who knew? @notcreative

Re: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I love mine, but then again, I also like testing the ph of things with a ph meter.

Re: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I didn't put anything on, so I got a 12! LOL! I just wanted to know how dry my skin naturally was and how much moisture did I really need, which went to between 45 and 50 after applying what I'd normally wouldn't use as many products on my face! LOL!

RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I went to my local Sephora and they had no idea what I was talking about and wouldn’t give me a free mask!!! #annoyed

Re: RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

That would've been awkward.  Did you try showing them the online ad? @Anonymous

RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

I just went to mine and she said they don’t have it in stores 😡

Re: RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

Wait, they didn’t have the funny moisture meter or they don’t carry the sheet masks? @alexandraowen

RE: Re: RE: Free Face Mask Friday 1/26

She opened a drawer and just said they don’t do it in stores. How would a reading not be done in stores ?!
