I’ve always been a huge fan of awards shows -- watching with my mom growing up and now throwing my own parties at my own apartment (strict dress code: pajama-glam) -- and now I think it’s about time the Beauty Insider Community had its own red carpet rundown!

[[Update 2/7]] In case you missed it, it’s Hollywood's biggest night this weekend, which means we’ve officially hit PEAK awards season! So feel free to use this thread to jump on early to share your trend predictions, or right before the show (prime red carpet time, duh!), during the main event (to discuss stage lewks, winner reactions, etc.), or ANYTIME after (sometimes the best part is just scouring all the Best Dressed lists after-the-fact) to dish all things red carpet. Share your favorite red carpet beauty looks (and bonus points if you actually try recreating them at home 😊), show off your own “pajama-glam,” or just stop by to tell us how your favorite actor/actress got robbed from their win. It’s all fair game!

Tracee Ellis Ross and Kerry Washington were my favorite looks from Sunday's Vanity Fair party after the Oscar's. These gowns are by the same designer Zuhair Murad. If I ever get the chance to wear a beautiful gown on a red carpet, I will wear Zuhair, simply gorgeous!

My Oscar inspired makeup looks is spring pastels with a deep blue liner, lots of shimmer, glitter, highlighter and nudes to go with an imaginary black gown with pastel mint green satin lining, little roses and vintage jewelry and bling.

It's time to get ready for more big red carpet moments this weekend! Has everyone watched all the nominated films? 🙂 I'm almost done but thankful to have some weekend time to cram for the big night.

As far as beauty trends, as much as I love sparkle, I'm hoping celebs switch it up this time and try out some really bold lips beyond the classic red or nude. I have so many lippies I need to get through and would love some red carpet inspo as a push to actually wear them again (even though you're all already the only inspo I ever need!) ❤️

Did anyone notice the blue eyeshadow trend? Pantone color of the year!! There were at least 3 performers/presenters who had different shades of blue, some with sparkles, some part of a complete monochromatic look. I could have sworn I saw variations of Benefit Showoff "cookie" up there ❤️
